It seems well made. It has good suction. Nice in the garage. I feel it was a good purchase. Tool bag is cheap and tore immediately.

Purchased this vacuum for my shop. Loved the matte black color and the pro version metal accessories are a great plus. 50’ hose, great suction power. Overall a great heavy duty vacuum for the shop.... or house.

I have a 900+ sq. ft. garage and got this vac to clean around the garage (especially the floor) and for any other cleaning needs (i.e. vehicles). Suction is good and will get the job done. I would prefer more suction, but I assume a little bit of suction may be lost due to the length of hose (50'). I assume a unit with the shorter hose may have a bit better suction at the working end of the hose. Overall, it's been a great investment for maintaining the garage and vehicles.

I've had this vacuum in my garage for four years now and it's still going strong. I have used it for a variety of messes and am always pleased with its suction. The hose can be unwieldy but it's incredibly durable and I think it's to be expected with any hose of this length. I'd definitely recommend purchasing this if you like a clean garage.

Well I finally bought it after a year of sitting in my wish list. I have to say the vacuum works good and has some great quality attachments as others have stated. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is the mounting for my application was a PITA and had to end up buying self rappers to get them to finally seat in the metal 4x4 post I mounted too behind my wood. And he unit is much smaller than I expected I had something about twice the size pictured. Lastly the hose sticking straight out the front is kind of a nuisance wish it was on one side or the other but this is easily fixed with unplugging the hose every use to keep it out of the way. Other than that it’s performed well for the first night haven’t done anything to major just piddled around with it. It is very quiet like everyone said too! Just wish it was a little bigger but made in the USA and locally from where I live is pretty cool! Good job vacuum maidAny ways I would purchase again!

My Review started as a 2 stars. But I got a chance to speak with Mike from Lindsay and he walked me through what was most likely going on. He also took care of the two parts that were defective. I immediately noticed a difference when I removed the old hose and plugged in the new one. I knew I was losing suction where the hose was damaged but Mike also pointed out where to check for stuck items.I found my first stuck item where the hose plugs into the unit. The intake there is about 4" long and has a curve to it. Looks like I sucked up a long piece of wood and it was jammed there. I also seem to have something stuck in the old hose, that one will take me a bit to look at as he recommended using a garden hose to clear it out. For now I just cut the bad section of hose off so I have an extra 35' hoseI really appreciated Lindsay Manufacturing working to straighten things out. it really does make a world of difference. Dealing with an American company versus having to track down someone overseas is priceless to say the least.Original review*******************************************************************************************I bought my unit as I needed something to help keep the garage clean and at the same time do car duty and hit the mudroom which in our house always seems to be full of dirt the kids drag in.The unit arrived and I guess I was a bit let down by the way it was designed. While the unit itself works well it is not built like a normal vacuum cleaner. For example the unit is really not much more than a large metal drum with an inlet and some small holes above where the motor is to let the exhaust air exit the main drum. The bag which is quite large and made from a several ply cloth material is very large (and expensive at over $8 EACH!).So things I did not like about it.1. The lid just sits on the drum, gravity and suction hold it in place.2. The bag doesn't exactly lock in place or anything. There is a small groove cut into the cheap plastic inlet tube that is about 1/16" deep that the bag "rests" in.3. Cost of bags just seems ridiculous at OVER $8 each. They are supposedly 7 gallons but the leads me to the next issue4. The instructions state to ensure that you place the bag in the vac and then expand it to fill the area. However the bag seems to be longer than the space in the barrel so it's conceivable that you may not be able to fill the bag 100% or that the bag could pop off the mounting tube (that has no lock to hold the bag on in any way).5. The hose does not lock in place it's simply a pressure fit into the vac body.6. When you are dealing with 50 feet of hose. It is not convenient to run back and fourth to turn the unit on and off. I let it run continuously as I cleaned our SUV and the motor housing got pretty darn hot.So, I also experienced some quality control issues.1. My hose has a crack in it. I have not called them yet, I'm still debating on whether to keep or return it.2. The small brush attachment is mis-formed. It will go onto the tube but takes some manipulating.I don't know I guess I will give them a call in a few days to see what they want to do about the hose, if they say ship it back I'm just going to return it. For now I have duct tape wrapped around the damaged part and it's alright.Lastly I guess I am also disappointed in the suction power of the unit. I honestly do not believe that it is any better than the suction power on my Fein shop vac that was also $300 (15 years ago) or our Electrolux canister vac which did cost a bit more. The unit does have two huge wins.1. It's very quiet.2. It does not vibrate on the wall at all.Is it worth $320?HECK NO!Personally I would recommend a Fein but I see that the model that replaced mine now uses bags versus mine has a cloth filter and a hepa drum filter. In order to skip the bags it looks like you have to spend $500 with them now. Will update if I return or keep and what their customer service says.UPDATE June 2015Moved from 1 star to 3I contacted Mike from Lindsy Manufacturing. They are replacing the hose and the damaged tool. They were pretty quick to responde which I appreciate, when so many companies do not stand behind their product it's nice to find one that does. Will update again in a few weeks when the parts come in. I am hoping that a hose without a break will fix the low suction power
