Do beware, you are getting what you pay for. The oil is very noticeably of lower quality than the real deal high weight molecularly distilled stuff from the legit brands like Edwards. When I change the oil I run my pump for at least 3-4 hours with the ballast open to get rid of the most volatile fractions. It also saturates with solvents and water much more quickly than the real deal and that can corrode your pump if you don’t change it often and clean your pump regularly (pictured). That said, it’s literally 15% of the price of the Edward’s stuff and I’ve been using it for years without mechanical problems. If you need the highest level of performance this isn’t it. If you want the most bang for your buck and just need chemistry grade vacuum levels, this will do it.

If you are just working with a cheap vacuum pump to charge an A/C system or a low-vac operation, there are less expensive alternatives. For getting down to under 10 micron vacuum, this oil will perform better and worth the extra cost.
