The gown is thinner but still decent for a tie-on costume gown. The fake blood on it looks excellent. Please note the darker blood in the images we added with spray blood. The bright red comes that way. We ultimately did not use the head wrap that came with it as it wasn't incredibly functional for us, but someone else might have an easier time with that part. The actual costume itself is effortless to put on. My niece is about 4”11, and it fits her, but it could easily fit grown-ups of much larger sizes. She felt comfortable wearing it. I'd say it's basic. It looks nice, fits our theme perfectly, and was a good value for the money. It went to the wash just fine, too! I'm comfortable recommending this product.
