It's price is nearly half of that of the genuine version that's made in Canada. I bought two of them to see if they are worthwhile replacements for some old Honeywell units. My Honeywell zone valves have been typically good for at least six years -- some as long as ten years. I have a dozen for my hydronic heating system including one for the hot water heater. One of my local HVAC plumbers recommends replacing the head units and the check-valve ball assembly once every six years to reduce the need for call-backs. They are easy enough for a weekend DIY project. One of the new units arrived with its aluminum cover damaged -- bent and dented. I was able to pound it back into shape with a mallet and block of wood. The manual operating lever was also bent. Unlike new Honeywell assemblies that arrive with the operating lever locked into the open position, both of the new ones were closed. Over time, that can distort the rubber check valve ball if the assembly is kept in storage. The original Honeywell units come with #6-32 wire-terminal screws with 3/8" diameter pan-heads. The knockoff units come with #8-32 Phillips #2 1/4" diameter pan-heads. That may seem trivial but the #8-32 screws with the smaller diameter heads make wiring much more difficult. There is less surface area under the screw heads to keep pressure on the necessary thermostat and control wires. Bad idea, unless you are using spade lugs on your wires.Note, you can't use the terminal screws from the old Honeywell models because these knockoffs have bigger diameter threaded holes for them even though they have smaller diameter heads.I won't know how long these knock-offs with last/perform in operation for several more years. If you really need to scrimp on the cost of the valve assemblies, you may take a chance with these. If you want the "good stuff", get the genuine Honeywell ones at their higher price. If you are paying a plumber by the hour to replace your valves, the hourly billing rate of most plumbers greatly exceeds the value of the savings from the knockoffs. If you are a DIY boiler plumber, give these a try. If I were a professional plumber, I would not sell these to my customers unless they were destitute.

This zone valve is similar in every way to Honeywell zone valves. All of the materials are high quality, the cast brass housing is machined and finished perfectly, a 3/4" copper fitting fits correctly. The gate motor is of good quality and properly rated. There is a manual override if needed. Wiring is straight-forward and the internal ball stopper is made of a rubbery substance which makes an airtight seal. The operation and wiring instructions on the end cap were correct and easy to read. I don't have any history with this brand so only time will tell if it holds up, however I don't have any reason to believe it won't.

This V8043F1036 Zone Valve by PROPART is a workhorse in your HW heat circulation system. The brass valve sweat connection is very clean out of the box. The wiring is a direct replacement. But if you broaden your horizon just a smidge you could also utilize this valve in home beverage manufactory in either a hot or cold loop application. Think out of the box with this robust control valve.
