I have a couple of these, in different lengths. They live outdoors. If a plug is in a spot where it might get damp or rained on, I wrap it in some saran wrap or something just as a precaution, but I’ve had no trouble whatsoever.

I had the camera plugged into an outdoor outlet. This extension was the perfect length to run up through the Soffit and plug into a previously installed outlet, in the attic.

Everything pictured came in the package. Cable and power adapter worked, seem generally OK. No issues being outside as of yet. Included accessories were trash; screws stripped out immediately upon application of even mild force, in keeping with made in China quality. Cable clips were similarly soft metal that deformed at the slightest excuse. Ending up using my own mounting hardware. Hopefully the low quality of the metal doesn't translate to low quality internals, but who knows. So far it functions.
