These square nuts have a 4-sided, square design which provides a greater bearing surface when installing. Square nuts are designed for use with square-headed bolts, though they can also be used with some machine screws. The large surface provides better resistance to loosening. Also used with flat washers of compatible size and material.

I needed a replacement for my Thule t-track bars. These fit the bolt size but do not fit in the tracks unless you modify them (I used my dremel to round the corners and grind down two of the edges).The price was right though and they definitely serve their purpose (vs Thule asking $35 for their t track kit)

The square nuts provided with the Rhino Rack RLT600 legs for my crossbar system were too wide to fit in the roof tracks of my AREs Overlander truck topper. Rhino Rack conversion kit costs $50+ but for only $10 these 20x5 mm square nuts fit perfectly in the tracks! Still holding strong after 900+ miles on the road with a loaded rooftop carrier.

These were a perfect fit to a Kammok Crosswing Awning. They fit perfectly in the aluminum frame grooves of the awning.

These 25x25mm M8 nuts came in clutch. I needed some elongated captive nuts for my KTM 890 frame to mount up some pannier racks. For the life of me could not find the KTM equivalent. So I ordered these. Trimmed 2mm off two sides of these nuts and voila! perfect fit.Judging by the resistance cutting them with the angle grinder, I’d say they are pretty tough.

I have been looking for square nuts in 1/4-20 for aluminum t-track and have tried several products and couldn't make anything fit. Everything I found was in millimeters and I need imperial. To be honest, I don't know what size 9M and 6M is but none fit. I found this product and I was able to make it work with a slight modification. Super excited.I took my belt sander and I ground down the front edges of two opposing sides by about 1/16 and fit perfectly. Took very little effort.For mine it is the small ledge along the inside otherwise it would fit as is. I tried a rasp but these are steel and wasn't working for me but don't have good rasps. Perhaps a diamond stone would work as well.I attached photos which could possibly help you with measurements and fit.Read several reviews for other products and appears a lot of us are having the same issue trying to locate a square nut that fits this type of track.

Fit my Thule racks perfectly. Love the Thule brand but what they wanted for these nuts was a crazy price. These work great and 1/100 the cost.
