Flat Set Grub Screw is composed of thread, driving groove, and flat end. It is connected by thread, driven by a large torque groove, and positioned by the friction force between its end plane and machine parts. The flat set grub screw is generally made of carbon steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metal, or non-metallic materials. The drive groove type is usually slotted and hexagonal, and the thread system includes the metric system and the British system.
NOTE: When locking the set screw, please choose a suitable wrench and apply a suitable force to avoid sliding grooves and the inability to disassemble.
Applications

I stripped the grub screw (set screw) in the heater block for my 3D Printer (Wanhao i3 style; MK10 Heat Block). This is the one that holds the heating cylinder in place. It was damaged beyond use so I needed to buy a replacement. Every seller I came across was selling just 1 or 2 screws and they seemed expensive. I could just buy a new heater block with the screw attached for a little more. Then I found this listing. I was able to get a much larger quantity for approximately the same price--even cheaper in some cases. I was worried it wouldn't work, but it is a perfect fit. (Sorry for blurry photo, but that's where it goes on the MK10 block if you're wondering).
