These screws work fine to replace worn down probe head screws. What are probe heads? They are expensive chunk of metal with ultra tiny pogo pins (thinner than hair) sticking out to make contact on dies on wafer (semiconductor industry). Probe heads uses these type of screws to mount the probe cards because it requires an ultra flushed surface such that only the tiny pogo pins will touch the bumps on the dies.

These screws seem to be a great value for the price. The screws all seem hard and sturdy, unlike others that are made from softer metals that strip.The "M3-0.5 x 4mm" size are the perfect replacement for the hard drive caddy screws on the original PlayStation 3
