Energized the contacts when heat up, but never returned to the previous state. Left on the table overnight. Probably return. Cannot rely on it.Got the full refund from the seller. Thank you

Seemed about the right open temp, I didn't measure precisely. But neither closed on cool. After ~10min at room temp they did close, not useful for me. Seller did not reply, I returned. As noted, one lead is grounded to the case.

I bought these to control a fan on a heatsink. They start the fan just fine, but the switch tends to stick and the fan keeps running even with the heatsink at room temperature. It takes a good WHACK on the heatsink near the switch to get the fan to stop.

Used on the cooling fins of a Motorola radio in a repeater configuration. Triggers two small cooling fans very reliably. Very satisfied with this product.

I'm using this to control a small AC vent fan on my propane refrigerator. The case is connected to the line, you cannot touch the sensor or ground it out, voltage is present at the case. It comes with some kind of rubber hose over it, I thought that was for shipping and almost discarded it. You have to use that.So yes it works, no I don't recommend using it unless you are very familiar with electricity and safe practices.

Used to regulate a fan to turn when inverter gets hot. Found out the hard way that case of module is shorted into normal circuit. When thermostat came on, module grounded to where it was attached. Partly my fault for not checking. Be aware. I now suspended second unit over inverter as never to touch it. Works as it should now.

Set up one of these (40C version) to control a cooling fan in my TV/media center cabinet. This should reduce the amount of dust that builds up in the cabinet compared to running the fan all the time. I sandwiched this switch between the receiver and DVD player, which is one of the warmest spots. Over several days I have observed that it turns on the fan when we're using the equipment and off when we're not. Perfect!I can confirm that one of the wires has a low-impedance connection to the metal case of the item, so I decided to leave the silicone sleeve in place to make sure no stray currents flow into or out of other metal objects.Overall, this seems like a cheap and easy way to add a temperature switch to a device.

This switch worked great to wire fans for RV refrigerator, 12v DC. Mounted switch on cooling fins and turns on fans at 105F. Recommended.
