If you have thick paints these are horrible as paint agitators. They just don't have the mass to effectively cut through the paints. On top of that if you transfer your paints to dropper bottles they're the perfect size to block your dropper. If you're looking for something to agitate acrylic paint go with purpose built steel ball bearings.

I use 3-5 beads in a bottle of ink, depending on opacity. At first I considered stainless steel ball bearings, but even stainless steel can react with substances over time. With clear glass, I don’t worry about that. Anything that reduces pain to my carpal tunnel and tendonitis issues is welcome! Reader, good luck in your efforts to connect with tools that actually HELP you!

If you need glass balls of a particular size, these are good. I bought 8mm glass balls to put in paint bottles to help mix up the paint. If you're going to do the same, try to buy glass balls that are as big as possible to fit in the opening of the bottle, because they don't weigh that much. You want to get the biggest balls possible. Bigger balls are better, for mixing the paint.I didn't bother to count these, but I received a nice bag full of balls. It should be enough.

Product is good, but arrived missing 15 of the 200 pieces it should have included. I've seen other reviews now mentioning the issue now, so it's not an isolated problem..Buyers beware.

I got the 200 count 4.5 mm glass balls for adding to paint and nail polish to us for miniature painting. They work great as agitators. The price is good. The only issue I have is there were only 187 glass balls.I counted, recounted, and then separated them into groups of 10. I was definitely shorted. That being said, when I run out I will buy these again
