The 3mm was priced well. It is a little too thick diameter to get good bends and loops by hand tools and I needed to use my wire wire form tools. It worked great for its purpose.

Making monkey fists with 3 inch ball bearings. But building a jig for multiple setups. Stainless steel rods will work for this purpose, and others, Very smooth, just the right diameter and length.

The product is not advertised as a "engineered product" so don't expect anything perfectly smooth, with perfectly flat ends. It does just barely meet expectations of the description. The material is stainless steel as advertised. Not every part was the same length which is not good. But most of the parts were similar in length. Depending on what you need it for, it may be perfect, or not good enough. The image shows what you will get.
