1. What is a dowel pin?

Install
This cylindrical locating pin has special chamfering on the two ends of the pin, so that the pin can be easily inserted into the mounting hole. Please confirm the size of the locating pin you need before purchase，In order to maintain the best firm performance, a metal adhesive can be added at the fixed end of the locating pin.
Connection
The pin is one of the unthreaded cylindrical pin fasteners. When connecting, make sure to keep the alignment between the hole positions between the connecting components.We suggest to use fixed positioning jigs and drilling tools for drilling

For a tight fit, your hole should be equal to or slightly smaller than the diameter shown (Diameter + 0.006"/-0")

Definitely not ASME B18.8.2 no rounded end, no beveled endthese were just cut by a shearing device.ends are chopped and need to be ground square.

The only problem I have it's a little smaller but it still fits pretty good.I guess the 5mm might have fit a little better but I'm not sure. What would really be nice is if they had sizing of the dowel here, so you could clearly make out if it would fit or not. No sure why they don't have that.An image of exactly how round and how long. Something to consider.
