PA plastic (also called Nylon) is a material with good alkali resistance, which is suit for use in petroleum products and neutral chemicals.
Bearing balls are used in applications such as drawer slides, precision bearings, pumps and valves, check valves, flow meters, and measurement instruments that operate in aggressive environments.
Nylon bearing balls are specially useful for low load bearings, special valves, check valves, flotage valves, fluid level indicators, carburetors, flow meters, laboratory devices.

When I obtained the two pairs, I hoped to be able to use them as "Queeg balls," except for being less noisy. Sad to say, they could have been much softer than they proved to be.
