1. What is a dowel pin?

Install
This cylindrical locating pin has special chamfering on the two ends of the pin, so that the pin can be easily inserted into the mounting hole. Please confirm the size of the locating pin you need before purchase，In order to maintain the best firm performance, a metal adhesive can be added at the fixed end of the locating pin.
Connection
The pin is one of the unthreaded cylindrical pin fasteners. When connecting, make sure to keep the alignment between the hole positions between the connecting components.We suggest to use fixed positioning jigs and drilling tools for drilling

For a tight fit, your hole should be equal to or slightly smaller than the diameter shown (Diameter + 0.006"/-0")

These were a savior to being able to finally get my bed rails in and sleep in our bed. Movers didn’t give them to me so when I got my stuff bed had no pins. Size was perfect.

I was looking for these to be magnetic, but the quality of stainless steel was great enough that they aren't. If you're looking for a quality dowel, but have no desire to use magnet with them, these are the way to go!

These are perfect for repairing the cargo cover/parcel shelf on a mk5 VW. One of the pegs broke off, and after 15 years the other side wasn't perfect either so we drilled out both and I think we set them with resin because that would hold up to the interior temperatures of the vehicle.

I have some old Danish/Scandinavian chairs that use 8mm metal plugs as seat supports. A few were broken and missing from the chairs. these were the exact same size and a perfect fit [Just needed to drill a hole through them for a screw].

I bought a solid wood sofa that comes with wood dowel pins.All the other screws and washers are steel.I decided to use the much stronger stainless steel dowel pins to make the sofa stronger.They fit perfectly and the sofa feels solid.
