I have had no problems with breakage. I use it on Aluminum , don't know how it does on steel. However if the bolt breaks it should be easy enough to replace it with a grade8 or 9. It does a great job of dempling my panels.

I'm so happy to have this dimple tool in my small arsenal of fabrication tools.The dies were machined extremely well and I have to say, they're super easy to use.Highly accurate, this really takes the guess work out of dimpling Dzus fasteners, my only regret being not purchasing sooner.

It's a very nice tool. Fit an finish is very good for the money. Easy to use and leaves a nice simple and didn't mar the aluminum panel.

It worked good for smaller tapered bolts, I modified it for deeper impressions and now it’s perfect and was so easy to do the mods I needed.

Does not make a deep enough dimple to completely recess a 3/8" flat head sleeve anchor or any 3/8" flat head screw or bolt. The head of anchor sticks out about 3/32" and therefore you cannot bondo the heads of these to make the bolts invisible. If you don't plan on filling the heads to hide them then this tool might work for you.

Does what is built to do, I am a small home garage so I do not use it on a daily basis, but does what is supposed to and seems to be holding up well.

Simple enough, layout, drill and squeeze. Perfect dimples provided you fully bottom out the dies.We recently had 8 12g hollow metal doorframes arrive without correct prep to install in concrete walls.Local shops were either booked, in limited hours for the holidays, or just simply did not have knowledgeable staff and equipment. Was quoted 1-2 weeks to a month to dimple prep these frames. Ordered the die set, waited 2 full days to receive, and had them done an hour after receiving package.Would likely had completed sooner but for two items, cordless drill and started with a less than full battery, and a dull drill bit. Nice addition to my travelling tool kit, takes little space but will be a huge benifit to schedule when the need arises again.
