Very thin plastic like a children's toy, don't drop it!It's ok for comparative weighing, definitely not good for finely accurate meaurements. Should be at Dollar Tree,.. not at this price.

This is not a precision scale!!!!It is an inexpensive spring scale that does work if you want to compare the weight of two objects. I checked it with 2.5 lb weights. If you adjust the scale to be correct for 2.5 lbs. for one weight and then weigh 5 lbs, it's pretty close, but hardly exact. It is small, so pay attention to the dimensions above. And finally, the instructions are cryptic: " Wheel direction indicator branchpoint" and "In order to a oid the internal components affected with damp."
