If I had known what I know now, I would've passed on this for the OLFA SVR-2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006O87O6 and saved a bit of money overall. This utility knife doesn't have a pocket clip, which makes it hard to remove from my shirt pocket, and I attempted (and failed!) to get a pocket clip to put on this, while the OLFA SVR-2 has one integrated. This is a nice set, and I probably would've been pleased, as it comes with plenty of replacement blades, and the plastic housing doesn't feel cheap, but the OLFA is manufactured in Japan in stainless steel. The housing is pretty substantial, those with large hands might feel better using this utility knife, but fits your pocket well.Don't have buyer's remorse, and go for the OLFA SVR-2 for its higher quality. Keep in mind the OLFA replacement blades are more expensive than this model, which includes 10 replacements.

I purchased this craft knife after finding positive reviews, and it’s a knife that fulfills its intended purpose perfectly. The feel in hand is smooth and stable, and it’s lightweight, which is great. The blade is sharp, and it comes with 10 extra blades, so I can use it with peace of mind. It's suitable for precise work beyond just box cutting, and I’m very satisfied with it.

Well, I’ve been using box cutters all my life. Picked up the habit working in a warehouse. I always have numerous ones around the house. Not necessarily expensive ones since many of the cheaper plastic ones work just as well. UNTIL I decided to try these extreme angle blades and cutter.
Wow, what a difference. The effort required to cut through anything is greatly reduced by the increased angle of the blade. These just slide through cardboard boxes, of which I have many due to Amazon existing. They do require different blades than the traditional style (which I unfortunately have a bunch of) but they’re worth it.
They feel good in the hand, made of solid higher grade plastic with a metal sleeve that the blade retracts into. Lightweight and looks good even. Highly recommended. But beware, they’re sharp!

Small and comfortable to use knife suitable for cutting out stencil on cardboard and many, many other purposes - Will not pull out of the body while m Normal aking a cut. The blade is pointed like X-Acto and can be easily broken off to get a ‘new’ sharp blade when needed. This is the best precision knife I have yet found! Is the only one I now use. Comes with replacement blades in a nice case.

Perfect precision blade for the money. It cuts through 69lb 3mil laminated bookmarks with ease and is comfortable to hold. It doesn’t weigh much so it’s easy to maneuver.

I finally found the craft tool that checks all my boxes. It's a precision cutter, designed to fit comfortably in my hand, slices perfect and tiny cuts in every paper I've tried so far, retracts safely and easily, sits in a pen holder ready for use, has a clever pop-off device to SAFELY break away the old blade, comes with a bunch of replacement stainless steel blade strips, has a quick twine cutter, arrives in an attractive, giftable box (and I do plan on gifting this to friends)...I could go on and on. Bye bye hand cramps! Bye bye all those other name brand cutters with scary covers and odd blade positions. I would gladly buy from USA makers if they could just pay attention to details like this maker does. They had their place and time, and to be fair, other styles may be more suitable for super heavy duty cutting, but this tool does what I need for my crafts, and I always feel safe and comfortable doing it!

I am currently in my year of college pursuing my bachelor's in graphic design. I have to print with a bleed all the time and cut my pages to size by hand. I was scared to get this initially due to the non-standard blades, but now that I have it, I have no regrets. One thing I wish was that I bought this when I first started my studio classes rather than waiting till my final semesters. This knife is fantastic. It's extremely comfortable in the hand. The rectangular shape of the handle makes it way easier to control than a cylindrical one for longer cuts. The fact that the blade retracts makes this a great traveling knife. Most hobby knives don't come with a cover for the blade (if they do they are not secure) or they come with a bulky hardcover case. As someone who likes to travel as lightly as possible, the retractable nature of this knife is a huge plus. The blade snaps off easily to one side (but not the other). When you snap it, the point seems just as sharp as a fresh x-acto blade. This semester I've been taking a package design class so I have had the opportunity to test it on all sorts of materials. The extending blade came in handy for cutting through thick foam and for scraping off the adhesive from a glass bottle I was rebranding. I have used it to cut through a thick .04-inch sheet of PET that I was using as a window. It took a few passes and quite a heavy hand, but it got through it without the blade snapping. I've used it for cutting off plastic and resin supports when 3D printing. It was sharp enough that it was easy to only cut through the material around delicate components without damaging them. This knife and my burnisher/bone folder combo tool are two of the most useful tools in my bag for anything print related.
