Useful device that my lightning port iPhone and iPad both detect. Helps with transferring material to and from the “MyFiles” section if you’re old fashioned (like I am”. Previously, I was simply emailing my files to my desktop. I’m sure there are other features that people more tech savvy than I will use, but that was my primary test. Item does have cords for both lightning and usb-c. Also has a headphone jack if you’re not into Bluetooth speakers or headphones. Since I do photography, it occurred to me that an SD card reader would have been an interesting plus, but others might find that use to be limited. I gave the item a 4 star rating due to the fact that there is a limited need to connect USB-a devices to a phone/tablet, and it doesn’t offer much else, unless the customer desires backwards compatibility to older device types. I would say that its use is very limited and niche. It is, however, functional.

This adapter resolved the issue of carrying multiple dongles for my iPhone 14 (Lightning) and iPad Pro (USB-C).I frequently need to connect a USB MIDI piano and a 3.5mm headset for conference calls. This adapter allows me to keep both peripherals attached to it and simply switch it between devices as needed. Thanks to its pass-through charging, a single USB-C power brick now covers both my iPhone and iPad.The result is a major improvement to my workflow and a significant reduction in bag clutter.

I have an older iPhone with a Lightning port and a new iPad with a USB C port, and was looking to buy something so I can plug in some headphones and still charge the devices. I was happy to see this device allowed to connect to both devices with both cable ports included.Over all the device works great for those needs. You connect a thumbstick drive or a keyboard or a mouse if you need to.One area I found annoying was a tiny little light that is inside the device. In my case when I plug this into an iPhone or iPad, the tiny light turns on when nothing else is connected to it. The problem is that it is getting that power from the device. What that means is you don't want to leave this plugged into the device if it is not charging or if you are going to walk away from your device for a day or so. Even though I suspect the battery drainage would be very minimal, I still don't like that it happens. I would like to suggest to the manufacturer to remove the light altogether as it really doesn't serve a purpose.Over all I am happy with the device but will knock one star off.

You plug it into the iPhone and boom! Just like a normal phone, you plug in your USB-C accessories. Also works as a mini USB-C hub. DAC chip is an AB13X, an inexpensive "ok" DAC, but sounds good on normal headphones. If you're looking for reference quality sound, you wouldn't be using this so I wouldn't worry about it. Tested the audio, USB-C and normal USB with an iPhone and USB-C host with a laptop - works on laptops, as well.

This product is like a lot of other "two in one" products available for connecting devices; it allow you to simultaneously charge your device and receive audio or data from the device at the same time. For data transfer, it's excellent, but the audio port is redundant, unnecessary, and poor quality. There are connections for USB C, or lightning (if you have an Apple device) on one side. On the other, there are output ports for USB C and USB A, and a 3.5 mm audio port.I've been using this adapter to connect a digital audio device to my MacBook, and simultaneously hook up a USB card reader. For this use, it works well. Not connection issues, and the quality of manufacturing is top-notch, as you"ll see in the pictures. The adapter would be better if it didn't include the audio port. At this stage, small audio adapters for USB C devices are ubiquitous, and the quality of audio you'll get from this adapter is very very poor. There is a TON of noise introduced into the signal. Apple-made USB C audio dongles are much, much higher quality, for cheaper. This adapter covers all the bases, but that could be its main flaw.
