This adapter works perfectly for my IBM model M keyboard from 1991! It is plug and play and needs no drivers installed (running windows 10). I built a new PC and never bothered to check if the new motherboard had PS/2 or not. This adapter is cheap and they shipped it next day! I can't complain at all!

I thought it was USB 3.0 because looking at the picture it looks like the end of the connector is blue. I already have one of these connectors with the white insert and it doesn't work with my application. It could be that even the 3.0 wouldn't work and maybe they don't make a 3.0 version of one of these.

I have a VERY old mechanical keyboard that I have never been able to find its equal, but it is PS/2. (one of my kids will probably inherit this keyboard when I die) and I have been wondering what I would do when I have to upgrade computers, as new computers only have USB now. THIS FIXS the problem, It works great, my computer found the keyboard without any problems.

I got this adapter for use with my old Sony Vaio keyboard. This USB to PS/2 adapter is plug & play. It is small and well made. I connected the old keyboard and mouse cable to the female ends of the adapter and USB-A end to my Dell dock. Both keyboard and mouse started working immediately. No drivers to install. No delay in response, both work great. I plan to use it only for the keyboard, the trackball mouse is old tech and I have optical / wireless mice which are much better. Happy with the product.
