Would not play audio for more than three seconds. I was using it with audacity, and every three seconds it wound stop playing. Like it wasn't being recognized. Tried unplugging and replugging several times, but the behavior persisted.

This enables me to use my hardwired earphones that have the old style. 3.5mm jack to USB.They work and there is no difference in the sound.

This is a well made unit, but consider how you intend to use it. 4 stars only because it did not meet my expections but has the capacity for other uses.I did not try it for wired connection of headphones to computer, for which I use bluetooth. This review is limited; not comprehensive.The intent was to try to connect various mikes to the computer. Be aware that the socket requires a 4 contact plug, in which case the unit worked fine. When I tried to use mikes with fewer contact points, old style, I was unsuccessful in maintaining a connection to the computer.Perhaps the mistake was mine in ordering this; though, I did not see any indications in the description of what was required by the socket. Four stars only because it did not meet expectations for me personally, Not one star because it does in fact do the job where more contact points in the plug are involved.

This is a great way to convert an analog headset to digital. It couldn't be easier. Just plug it in to a USB port and plug your headset into the adapter.It's hard to judge audio quality since Windows has a lot of automatic settings and volume changes, but it seemed fine. It's definitely in stereo, even when using the microphone (unlike bluetooth which switches to mono).I have a headphone jack on my laptop, but I think it's starting to corrode (or at least get a little dirty) such that jiggling the wires causes annoying noise. This adapter solves that problem. It's also good if you don't have a headphone jack, or somehow need more.I like the metal connector shrouds and the braided cable. It seems well made.It's currently listing for just under $7 bucks. If this would solve a problem for you, I recommend giving it a try.

This compact adapter delivers good quality audio for devices that do not have an audio jack output, or the audio output has failed. There are no drivers needed and it is instantly recognized by Windows as an audio output/input device.I had a particular need to have my audio output switched between two machines attached to a 2-port USB KVM switch. I simply plugged the JHAOUS adapter into one of the switched USB ports and had instant audio available to my speakers from whichever computer was selected.The output from the DAC in the device works well to drive headphones or speakers. I also tested the adapter with headphones containing a microphone. The headphones have the standard 4-connector 3.5mm jack, and the microphone also worked well.Recommended

It does work, but the audio level is awfully low compared with other USB-to-headphone solutions.

If you are looking for a direct, TRRS audio to USB connection with no extra knobs and buttons then this is for you.The audio interface auto-detects and install for both windows and mac (after accepting interface install) with no fuss, just choose your output source and you're in business.It supports input as well (hence the TRRS connection support) so if you're using this for a headset then you are good as well.I needed this for a mini docking station that did not have an audio port and I did not want to unplug and plug in the audio connection each time. This simplifies my docking and undocking needs to my speakers.Great value and build, highly recommend!
