Thie provides a more convenient way to plug in your headphones vs a headphone/mic splitter when you don't have a combined headphone/mic jack as it is easier to unplug a single usb cable rather than two 3.5mm cables... as usually, if you leave the splitter connected and only unplug the single cable from the headset, it might block audio from any other connection as it could think it is still connected.This worked great for my single cable headset.

I needed a small SIMPLE USB DAC to carry with me. I'm an audiophile and have some expensive USB DACS that sound amazing. But sometimes I want to listen to music and don't have the "good stuff' with me. This is small enough I can carry it with me all the time. I was amazed at first listen, the sound was GOOD! WAY better than I expected. I've had several smaller DACs that have terrible headphone amps, that start distorting way before getting LOUD. This took everything a I threw at it with aplomb, no distorting, no crackling, no compressing, just super clean music all the time. I'm really impressed!

Not a whole lot to say, it works. I have an extension from my speakers to my computer so they will reach. it worked fine for a while, but for some reason my left speaker cuts out, from time to time and pops back in with no warning. Buy plunging my speakers into this and a USB port on the computer this solved the problem for now, until i can get some better speakers. I did not notice any quality loss, everything seemed to work fine. These are cheap speakers so i wasn't expecting much from them to start.
