I had a solar panel that I wanted to connect to a blink outdoor camera. Unfortunately, the solar panel was a micro USB a. With this adapter I was able to convert it to a USBC and plug it into my camera. These little adapters work and I got plenty to spare.

I have a bunch of micro usb cables of various lengths so these are a great way to make dual use of the cables without needing to buy more. Specifically one of my guitar amps is a digital modeling amp that connects to a computer and I need a really long miniusb cable. I already have a really long micro so instead of buying another long, outdated cable for a single use I can just adapt my existing stuff.

The world of personal electronic devices is slowly converging on the use of the USB C standards for powering, charging and transferring data. That is a wonderful thing for anyone who has struggled with having the correct cables to work with older electronic devices using USB A, USB B, USB C, USB Mini and USB Micro connectors. Until this Universal Serial Bus transition is complete, it is important to be able to connect to any of these connectors. With a few quality cables of different lengths and an assortment of connector adapters, you can remain connected to anything without needed a suitcase to carry all of the necessary connections.Mini and micro USB connectors are often found on older cameras and other USB powered devices. The need for converting a male USB mini plug to a micro style plug seems pretty rare these days as both of those plug styles are being used by many manufacturers. But with their small size and low cost it is worth having some on hand. These adapters will convert a USB Micro male plug to the USB Mini. They work well and are well built. The adapters will allow charging and data transfer if the cable used with them does.A small investment to avoid future inconvenience - if you still are using equipment requiring both of these connectors.
