While this GPS may work fine for many applications, it is not so good when building a Stratux unit. It's electronics are not shielded too well or maybe the antenna is weak. One minute it works and then the next it looses all satellites. You need reliability when flying a plane. So for Stratux builders, get a unit with a factory built u-blox labeled unit vs this.

As advertised, using it on a pizero w. All i had to do was activate it in my config, and walk around outside for like 15 minutes but one it got a fix it was good to go!

If you want to use this for ntpdchrony either it does not provide pps via USB or the current version of gpsd is unable to find the USB pps. this device can provide GPS information using cgps, it just does not provide the PPS single over USB.Works fine finding the GPS satellites using an external antenna. I don't recommend if this if you want to use it for GPS time sync for NTP & Chrony.

this is absolute GARBAGE. Dont purchase this.. I let it sit outside for almost 12 hours with a clear view of the sky and it will not get a fix on a single satellite.

I've gotten this up and running on Windows 11 with no problems. I intend on using it with a Rasperry Pi project which it should work well for. It's a good value for what it does. Bear in mind it doesn't include any documentation so you'll have to go to the site itself to get that.

Having owned a different model, one that I struggled with getting to recognize on my computer, I was pleasantly surprised with this unit. It connected right away, and the software download instructions were very clear. I had it going in a matter of minutes, and it acquired the satellites very quickly.As a ham radio operator, I require a precise time signal, as delivered by GPS, to coordinate my digital transmissions for advanced modes like FT8. This GPS unit is exactly what I needed to be able to have an accurate time standard even when away from an Internet connection.Now, even when in the field, my computer's real time clock will be prefectly synced to a true time standard. For the price, this can't be beat.

Awesome way to include Geo location functionality into my Pi projects! I used to expect datasheets and other docs to come with these modules; but they never do! So, as with other modules, happy searching for documents! However, you'll find it between search and AI it is not hard to get going!Great so far!! Works with windows and receives GPS info like a champ!!

Running it on Win10pro with Opencpn and it is quick. Acquired signal very quick with a status led built into the unit helps verify it’s on and receiving.

I used this with a raspberry pi and it works great. Would recommend this if you need gps with a raspberry pi
