Used to add bluetooth to older desktop. Had to download app, extract zip file, etc. Proably no problem for younger users but took me some time as I am not familiar with those processes. The usb works well so far so 4 stars. Delivery via Amazon Van and driver was less than ideal as my package was left at my neighbors' house across the street and their package was left on my porch. They live on a corner lot and their address is a completely different street name .

Even though my desktop already had a bluetooth receiver, I needed an external one since most computer motherboards have trouble with connecting to bluetooth headphones. This worked perfectly well with my earbuds and there was no trouble in terms of audio, lag, or connectivity.

What a great deal for the money and how many problems it solved. I have an older desktop that still runs great but it didn't come with Bluetooth when I purchased it new. That meant I had to use my laptop for Zoom calls and to listen to stupid jokes without annoying others. This was simple plug and play. No issues whatsoever and it has incredible range. The only downside is it is so small I managed to misplace it when I had to remove it to temporarily access the USB port for other uses. Not a big deal. I will order another one for under 16 bucks and be up and running again tomorrow.

I was worried it wouldn't after hearing bluetooth 4.0 is best, but it does. Only problem is the connection lags for a few seconds every 5 minutes or so (buttons and/or control sticks stuck). **SEE UPDATE**I'm glad that it's bluetooth 5.3 in case I ever buy modern bluetooth headphones. 5.2 improved audio performance.Plug and play with Windows 10 if it's up to date.UPDATE: After some research, I found out that USB 3.0 and higher ports make 2.4 ghz interference which screws with Bluetooth. I plugged it into a male-female USB 2.0 extension cable and it fixed the intermittent lag spikes. 1 foot worked for me but you might want a 2 foot so it's farther away if you're using a tower.

The dongle is compact and easy to install, and it quickly connected to all of my Bluetooth-enabled devices. One of the standout features of this dongle is its range. I was able to use my Bluetooth headphones from across the room without any issues, and the signal remained strong even when I moved to different parts of the house. The dongle also supports the latest Bluetooth 5.0 standard, which ensures fast and reliable connections.Another great feature of this dongle is its compatibility. I bought this to connect Bose Quiet Comfort headphones to my custom built PC because the built in Bluetooth led to choppy audio. I have only been able to connect successfully with this device a handful of times. When it connects, it works great. Unfortunately, that doesn’t happen often. Although the device is indeed plug and play (and no drivers are needed) my PC still says the drivers are faulty and it is not able to connect 9 times out of 10. Windows is notoriously bad with Bluetooth connections for audio devices so I honestly can’t say whether the issue is with the device or the computer. Just keep that in mind if you’re ordering this for a PC.
