I don’t like that it randomly resets its power accumulation back to zero

Takes the guess work out of cable and charger condition. Several readout options. Easy to use, plug it into a charger, plug a cable (with phone, etc. attached) into the meter and it shows lots of values of the charge. I mainly use the amp. readout, but there are a lot of other values in the display. I've gone through my cables and found a few bad ones. The meter and load device come in a nice metal case for storage.

I bought this tester to verify some USB power strips that I bought. The test set identified that under load the USB ports were not delivering the required minimum USB voltage. I was very pleased with the tester’s ease of use and the ability to “dial in” various load conditions. That feature really helped identify when the power strip went out of spec and ultimately why it wouldn’t work for my USB application. It’s nice to have a “real” answer to an issue that you know exists. I recommend this kit. T.

I had a specific use case wanting to prove that some of my USB extension cables have excessive voltage loss under load. I now know which cables are worthless to me. It's also good to verify the voltage drop and amperage I get out of USB power supplies. I again now know which power supplies are junk.

Works!! Instructions could use some help, the load resistor ... "off" is a 1 amp load, "on" is 1.9 amp ... it does get hot and it doesn't appear be electrically insulated, not a shock hazard but could be interesting if it shorted on metal. The 1.9 amp load is high enough to trip the overcurrent protection on some usb battery packs. I bought to check power/amp draw of some usb devices, seems to work fine and has verified some bad cables.

This AT35 is a great little USB tester. I use it when testing the current consumption of small usb powered arduino boards that draw very little. Past testers I've used only had 10 mA resolution and weren't very useful for my purposes. This device lets me read down to 100 uA resolution and is perfect! I'm glad I purchased this model over the lower resolution AT34. It's got onboard non-volatile memory to store/accumulate amp-hour or watt-hour readings across power on/off cycles if desired. Also able to recognize and report usage of various quick charge modes. There's so much data packed onto its clear, colorful, sharp LCD display. The only downside is that the fonts can be tiny and hard to read. Update rate is about 1 reading per second.

So first off, when I found out that there was a way to test all the crappy usb cables that have accumulated around my home I was amazed because I'm a normie and didn't know anything about electronics. When I opened up the case, there was a usb stick with a well fitting cap within a small plastic case. And on the case was the website for where you can find the instructions (I didn't need to visit the site because it was very simple to use (even for a dummy like me). When you plug the device into a wall or powered oriface the screen powers on and it shows that it is not drawing any power. Once you plug a cable into it nothing changes because there isn't any power being pulled through it, UNTIL you connect that cable to another device. Once you do it will show how much joose is flowing through your old garbage cables so you can find out which ones are and aren't worth saving. AMAZING DEVICE!! 5 Stars ☆☆☆☆☆

I like that it comes with a test load, the volts and amps are very easy to read. The mAh number is small and in red so it is very difficult to read. Unfortunately this is the number that I really need to be able to see. Another feature I don't like is that the cumulative charge is not kept in memory permanently until cleared. It appears for a few seconds when the unit is reinserted and then resets to 0. It is not necessary for it to reset automatically since there is a button for that purpose. I wish it had time data too. Overall nice device.
