I use this for backing up hardware on my sailboat. It is the right material and is easily worked with hand tools.

I originally ordered 2, one of the 2 had a corner smashed, however I am going to cut off the corner so it is usable. The other one was damaged as per the pictures. I returned that one and the one I got in exchange is also garbage. I will be returning that one as well. Next time I'm going to order from mcmaster-carr. The actually put effort into their packaging.

I was expecting canvas based phenolic as pictured. Be aware it is not. It’s basically a chunk of fiberglass. That’s what G10 is I know now.Vendor accepted returns, but at my expense. It would cost as much to send it back as the refund, so I’ll keep it on the shelf and hopefully be able to use in the future.

I use this as a 3D printer bed and it works amazing. Holds heat well, is perfectly flat, and it doesn't warp with heat like aluminum. If it gets shiny take a flat sanding block and rough it up a bit with some 180 grit.
