Great blinds. They look great and were incredibly easy to put up once I figured it out. At some point, I'll replace all the blinds with these; however, they are pricey, particularly if you have large windows. That said, not having cords is fantastic, particularly when you have small children and pets in the home who love to get into trouble. They can't choke on something that's not there. The only problem is that it's a bit challenging to get the blinds to close properly if you don't order a perfect length fit. If the blinds are not completely pulled down, the slats do not close as well, and you will be able to see in the window from outside somewhat. With trial and error, you can overcome this, but it takes some time to figure out. As far as looks, these look great and while they are expensive, they are much less expensive than the highest end blinds, while looking very close to the same quality. When the blinds are pulled down at night, it really brightens up the room with the lights on and makes the winters of the Midwest slightly less gloomy at night. Win.

First my mistake: my window is a recessed garden style window that’s over an arms length from the counter. I previously had cellular style blinds with a cord, just pull the cord and up they went, not a problem. The previous ones were also much much smaller in foot printThese are very well made, weigh a freaking ton. Install is simple and straightforward. If the window was accessible, like you could stand next to it, these would be a charm, they look great. However it’s really really hard to lift them. Getting your hand under them, it’s really a lift. There’s no handle so if they are fully extended down to the bottom you have to start by lifting above the slat first. Pulling them down isn’t easy either. Maybe it’s mine but I suspect it’s just the design, they are not easy to lift or pull down. Check my pics, like I said they look great when closed, but for me these just won’t work. They are also very big when fully retracted. They come down a full 8” from the top which blocks a lot of the view, the previous type only was 2”.Bottom line- great product for the right spot. This is not the right spot for me, I need to have a cord and something smaller. One other mistake I made was I thought these were faux wood, they aren’t...not a deal breaker but the wood look would look better (IMO)All that said these are a great value, a very sturdy product, and look great. It kills me to have to find something else.

I'd say for the cost not a bad buy. I've always hated that my blinds were pink and we have green carper. I finally decided to do something about it. I wanted something i could do on my own and relatively inexpensive which this was. There were no instructions included but after dismantling my old one it was pretty easy to figure out how to put this one together on my own. The valence was a little longer than my window i trimmed it expecting to seat it within the window itself but it did not fit inside because my window wasnt deep enough. My recommendation is do not make adjustments to the valence until the end. There's a small gap (my fault) but not very noticeable.Pros:Straightforward assemblyLooks niceGood valueNo cord neededCons:No instructionsScrews are long (i saw a comment from another reviewer that he used the 1/2 inch screws from his old blinds, i did the same)Feels plasticy (It is faux wood so I didnt expect it to feel like the real thing)This was my test run, I am happy with the turn out and plan to replace the remaining pink blinds in our home with this one if I can find all the sizes I need.

Tried to get blinds cut at local big box stores. For some reason, all of the blind cutting machines were out of order at multiple different stores. Strange. So I decided to order online. I was hesitant. I double checked my measurements. Then ordered.Saved SO MUCH TIME not going through the big box hassle. Several lengths to choose from on Amazon. Blinds are fantastic. Easy measure to insides of window sill. Ordered 5 sets. All fit perfectly. Brackets can be kind of a challenge to screw in with a standard philips drill bit. I used 3 inch extension and it really helped. Even if the screws and brackets dont go in perfectly square, the blinds fit and the brackets snapped closed. Blinds are sturdy and work great. Look fantastic. Beware shipping damage on boxes. And make sure your box of hardware is included and didn't fall out with shipping damage. Replacements are costly and a hassle to get.UPDATERoughly 4 months after purchase, I have had issues with the mechanism which rotates the blinds. One mechanism would not turn, and broke the stick. I replaced the stick with a wooden dowel with a metal hook in the end. Works fine now. The mechanism had gotten stuck apparently. And yes all the slats were facing the same way. Another larger blind had the same mechanism completely fail and just spin free. Blinds won’t rotate. I can close them by hand by gently pulling the string they rest on to open and close.I love the look of the blinds, but question the quality of the rotator mechanism.
