No complaints with the Stringliner 24106 Twist Line Pro Level Wiz Line Reel, Orange except for the level which is a piece of junk. Every time I attempt to use it I end up going back into the tool drawer for my Swanson string level. The Stringliner level almost always displays a broken up bubble making it impossible to tell when you are at level. NEVER have I had that happen with the Swanson.

The line and reel work well, the level however, I did not use, as I read some of the reviews and decided to buy a better line level, and it works great. The orange line is pretty bright, and easy to see, even in the sunlight.

very simple device: a spool of orange string and a way to dispense it and reel it back easily. The string is very visible. I'm not sure how long it will last when exposed to UV/rain... outside, but these are usually for temporary marking, and for that this is good.

Does the job, however beware - even the small string has weight over any distance. I was spanning 18 foot, and the string had enough of a bow in it to through off my readings. I don't think this is unique to this product at all but to string levels as a whole - it is made well, and functions perfectly.

It seems to work. The level is adequate. Slightly heavier string would be better. I suggest sliding the level along the string to make sure the bubble stays in the center. Also, reversing the level to verify that the bubble stays centered is a good check.

I bought this to check the soil grading in my yard. It's pretty simple to use: secure two stakes in the ground, tie the string around the first stake. Pull the string taut with the level hanging on the string in the middle, and raise/lower the string until the bubble is perfectly level, then tie off the string tight. Now, you have a level reference you can use to measure whether one side of your yard/wall/floor is higher than the other. There are lasers and other kinds of equipment that can help with this process, too, but they cost a bit more, and often don't work in as many situations as this simple piece of string on a spool. The level snaps into the bottom part of the handle, though I figure that will be the first part of this rig that will snap off. No problem for me, especially not for The bright orange #18 nylon twine is very durable, and unless you leave it outside in the sun and weather for a few days at a time, it will last for years.
