One panel arrived with a through and through split in two places. Neither panel has enough support to keep it from possible twisting. This size panel should have corner support as some brands do. That said, if you are just using these for a hobby or for yourself, they are a good value as the seller was very responsive in giving me a refund for the defective panel.

Unfortunately, in the process of completing a painting, the wood surface began to split and crack. Many hours have been spent working in this surface, only for it to become unsightly and damaging to the painted surface.

I was so worried to order these boards based on the reviews receiving damaged boards. I’m already behind on my schedule for a commission piece as my original order got damaged during delivery and never even got to me, they were the 36x48. This time I ordered the 36x36, received a few minutes ago and wow! These boards are gorgeous, not one crack or dent. Can’t wait to start! I gave 4 stars as I have yet to paint on it, when I’m done if all goes well with the board I’ll change to 5 stars. Happy painting friends and thank you US Art Supply xoxo

Board has dips in all 4 corners. It is not perfectly flat and paint will gravitate to low points (dips) when poured

I really like the pieces of birch that were purchases for artwork backdrops. I has a very nice smooth finish and displays my artwork nicely

These panels are lighter in weight than the same size I purchased from a well-known online art supply store. The measurement on these 36 x 36 panels is actually around 35 3/4 x 35 3/4. That might be an issue for some clients. The well-known art supply store panels were spot-on 36 x 36. Otherwise, I was very happy with the condition, quality, surface and price of these panels.

I’m a professional artist and I purchased these for a recent commission. The wood is beautiful and the workmanship is excellent. They came in a sturdy carton and came in excellent condition. I highly recommend these panels.
