Good deal at the price. Not super heavy duty but that's only to be expected at this price point. I had feared it might be flimsy, but it is strong enough. Diameter and adjustment range are as specified.

In fact, the tube functions as advertised and satisfies my needs. I would just recommend that either the manufacturer send the tube to the buyer with at least a foot of slack in the outer strap or tell the customer to add a foot of slack to the outer strap before trying to capiche the machinations of the twist-lock extension-tightening functions.

With one end of the shoulder strap attached to the lid, this poster tube has a tendency to unlock from the cap and fall off while you’re wearing it. Because of this design, the tube will fall off your back and dump your contents. Locking mechanism poorly designed. Otherwise, great size for my 24x36 poster unextended. Nice and rigid protection.

Extendable design makes it portable to store large pieces of foldable artworks or any large delicate papers.But the cover do not latch properly, comes off if you travel holding its belt!Also, outer shell is not strong, checkin during flight can bend upon mishandling and damage items within.Minor design change should have made it perfect.Finally, good for storage, not recommended for travel.

I use mine to carry targets of different sizes to the range. Pros holds a lot of paper in a small package, protects contents from most hazards, easy to carry, and expands to accommodate the largest paper. Cons doesn't lock to desired height very well (slips out of position easily), can cause paper to be coiled compared to a flat portfolio.

Lisa from Shelley's household says:Got this for housemate's birthday so he can carry his gaming maps more easily. It's simple enough, and will work well for the maps, but it's a little squishy. This makes the lock mechanism a little difficult, but nothing that can't be fixed. I just wouldn't use it for things that you can't have squished a little. It's not squishy enough to crinkle things, it's just enough to be noticeable and mess with the locking. I don't think anything is going to pierce it or anything like that, and it looks like the lid will align enough to keep rain out.

This drafting tube is large enough to hold our club banner and the stand. One downside is that you need to be careful to twist it into place so that it lock at the correct length.
