As described, raw, no gesso, no preparation. If this is what you need it is perfect. Should you want something prepared with gesso, not for you.

It was well packaged and arrived quickly, but, unfortunately, it was too thin for floor clothes which is what I wanted it for.

What ÅmåΩøn lacks in selection among types of canvas types that are available compared to the well-known art supply websites, it MORE than makes up for with free shipping for Prime members! This is especially valuable for customers like me who make art in Honolulu, Hawaii where shipping charges can be exorbitant, sometimes costing more than the ordered items. The overall price and free shipping cost is a great value for 18 feet of quality canvas that arrived well packaged and quite promptly! Will definitely order again after I cover what I have with masterpieces that will sell for thousands of dollar$$$.You think I'm kidding don't you? Just you wait and see.

I had to stretch and prime my own canvas. It works well with stretching and priming.It does fray at the edges. I'd recommend some kind of glue so it doesn't fray around the staples (or just edges of whatever you're doing with it.)The gesso went over really smoothly and nicely. It was easy to remove any lint with tape.
