Easy replacement of the original relay at a fraction of the cost of the genuine part. Time will tell how robust it is.

On G-body P cars diagnose DME relay issues with a hand on the relay and turn the key from off to acc, you’ll feel a click. Also test with key on that the ICV is vibrating. If not most likely the culpritMost owners keep a spare in the glovebox, and the URO has been good to go for me

Uses an old relay design and I had some reliability issues with it right outside of the box. There are far better replacement components out there for the same price, I wouldn't recommend grabbing this one unless you were in a pinch.

The relay would not work out of the box. I took the relay cover off and was shocked to see how terrible the solder joints were on the circuit board. Almost every solder was a cold solder joint and with cracks. Globs of solder at the contact terminals. Just to verify the problem I re-flowed all the solder joints and the relay worked fine, although I did not use it because of overall poor quality.

Just picked up a 86 911 and after a month (weekend car) one morning it just didn't start. Read it was a common issue, the DME relay and ordered one. After getting it, it started right up. I bought another one just for a spare. Always good to have one.
