Hard to sing praises for a urine collector, but it was fine for its intended purpose. Sturdy, stayed in place. Collected urine.

I got these to use for teaching purposes. They are sturdy and well made. Place one between the toilet rim and seat to easily collect a urine sample. They are also easy to clean and reuse, as needed. I like that they have the measurements on them to measure output.

My mom was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer and this urine collection hat really helped me monitor how much urine/blood she was excreting. It also made it possible to find blood clots that she was passing. The color of the toilet she uses is pink so the white color of the hat made it much easier to see the color of the urine/blood she was passing and gave a much more accurate assessment without being diluted in a pool of water. The urine collection hat is made of plastic that is easily rinsed off. There are measurement marks in ounces and cc’s. Fits nicely in both round and oblong toilets.

What I received is not is what is pictured online. What I received works well as a specimen collector when needed. The measurement scale and seat are different, but still effective. (See attached picture)

Excellent Urine Collection Hat for Toilet. I got these "top hats" (what I've always called them) to use at home so I can use in collecting a urine specimen for my bladder doctor when I feel like I might have any kind of bladder/UTI problem. This specimen pan (top hat) allows you to relax & use the bathroom like you normally do without trying to catch the urine midstream in a small cup you have to hold while balancing to hold yourself up. When you get in your 50's and above, have arthritis, fibromyalgia and/or MS, or are plus size this becomes very challenging for you. I used to get these top hats from my bladder doctor's office but lately they haven't wanted to give me any. That is why I was so glad to get these. These are sturdy and durable enough that you can wash and sanitize them after each use and reuse them. They make it so easy to transfer your sample to the sample cups you need to drop off at the doctor's office because it has a little trench for pouring. These make collection so much easier. I hope this wasn't too graphic for anyone.

We were very happy with the product upon arrival and through the first couple of weeks. But in week 3 ior 4, the product b egan to malfunction. The malfunction is minor but promotes a less than sanitary possiblity.Upon arrival, both spickets for your front and back, would always retreat back into their cover, this was the way the product is supposed to work. But after a few weeks, the spicket for your rear, stayed down and will no longer retreat back into its housing. So that spicket can become unsanitary of feces happens to find its way onto the exposed spicket as your turn on the water to clean your bottom half.The other spicket works just fine and continues to retreat into the housing once completed.I like the product overall, minus the malfunction. I probably could have returned or exchanged it, but we rent where we live. So I'll just leave it here for the next renters if they want to use it.Yes... I wipe down the exposed spicket with a Clorox or Cottenelle wipe, before I take my seat. :-)Hope this helped.ShawnB

This item is very easy to use, and I especially like the lines for ounces of urine which are needed for reporting.
