If you are a truck driver, you probably know that your truck needs something called diesel exhaust fluid(DEF) or adblue to reduce pollution. This stuff is actually a water-based solution that contains urea. But some sellers might cheat you by using low-quality urea or diluted solution, making you waste money and possibly fail the emission test, getting fined or confiscated.
What can you do? With Anbachi digital refractometer, you can easily test the concentration of the urea solution you buy or make yourself, and make sure it meets the standard. This device is a small digital refractometer, it can measure the amount of urea in the solution, and show you clearly. How to use our digital urea refractometer
Step 1:
Raise the cover and clean sample groove with clean water, in case of residual substance interference the test results.
Step 2:
Absorb urea solution with the plastic pipet, then drip enough solution into sample groove, close the cover to make sure the infrared sensor can read the temperature.
Step 3:
Press ON key to turn on the instrument.
Press READ key and wait a few seconds for the result testing.
Don't forget clean the sample groove every time before test
- Raise the cover and clean the groove
- Absorb urea solution you want test
- Lid the cover and press READ
- Wait for 3-5s, you'll get it.
- Tips: Sample solution needed at least 3-5 drops (0.0135oz)
Adblue
According to the requirements of the US legal, it must add vehicles urea when refueling diesel trucks, for the purpose of reducing exhaust emissions.
Gas Station
Many drivers chose to add urea with fuel together at gas station.
For better customer services, gas station might need a urea testing tool to tell drivers how is their vehicle urea.

It does work, but even following the instructions it needs to be calibrated constantly. Slightly annoying when it takes 5 minutes just to check one sample of fluid. Otherwise, works great.

A pesar de seguir las instrucciones (en inglés) nunca se pudo realizar una medición de UREA ya que en la pantalla solo decía HI o la palabra LOW (usando la misma muestra, solo que en diferente cantidad), pero nunca arrojo porcentaje de concentración... también marcaba error al momento de tratar de calibrar... Se recibió con las baterías puestas, posiblemente ya había sido utilizado o devuelto anteriormente por alguien más...Lo devolví.

I am a truck driver and I use urea solution to reduce the emissions from my diesel engine. Urea solution is expensive and sometimes hard to find, so I decided to buy this urea tester from Amazon. It was easy to set up and use, and it gave me accurate readings of the urea concentration in my solution. With this tester, I can make my own urea solution by mixing water and urea granules, which are much cheaper and easier to get. This way, I can save a lot of money and time, and also help the environment by using less plastic bottles. I am very happy with this product and I recommend it to anyone who needs to use urea solution for their vehicles. It is well worth the price and it works great.

I have now ordered two of these units and both arrived with batteries already installed, hmmm! The display has no plastic removable adhesive that protects it as new product or unused, to be removed later. The cut out foam slot in both product boxes was empty and would normally contain 2 brand new AAA wrapped batters TO BE Installed, NOT already installed. I will test the unit against OTC Refractor product, but I don't trust the products that I have received so far. I'm suspicious because of the installed batteries, and Empty foam battery cut out slots. A nice looking product, will have to see how it reads and compares to OTC.
