It works very well and the material is nice and dense. I bought two of these and remove one of the cone and attached the two units together using the existing strap. I have one piece now that can be used for four tanks.

So I was a bit unsure when I got this but after using it for a while, I can say I love this thing. And while it's primarily meant for scuba tanks and I use it for that fairly regularly, it also is useful for other things that may roll around in the car as well. The odd example I can give it gallons of milk!I cannot recommend this more highly!

I gifted this to a diver friend and he was so happy! He had used pool noodles prior to this to keep tanks in order in the trunk and from hitting one another. The fact that these are larger, stronger and linked together just got rig of all of his frustrations. This is light weight while being incredibly strong and easy to use. Very happy with this gift!

Robust scuba cylinder rack to prevent tanks from sliding around in the back of a vehicle or on a boat. The ridged yellow tubes are grippy, and the dense foam cushions and protects both tanks and vehicle. This bad boy is good to go "as-is": there no assembly. Fiddle-factor is also avoided by eliminating the need to pad tanks with towels and other items prior to transport.Webbing spacers (with reinforced stitching and secured by generous Velcro) can be easily removed from the tubes but will not come off inadvertently. Spacers are not adjustable but that can be worked around. Integrated webbing handles aid portability. When not in use, simply toss the unit into a dive bag, or secure with a bungee or webbing strap. We love this incredibly convenient, highly functional, and protective cylinder holder. It is not inexpensive but with reasonable care, should last many years, making it a great investment.

When I first took this out of its packaging I was surprised how sturdy it felt. I have used the “pool noodle” versions of this before, but this takes it to a new and much better level. The foam is a really well made closed-cell high density coated foam designed to last and not easily deteriorate or collapse. This is not the cheap EVA flexible foam you see on most racks. There is plenty of strong webbing to hold the foam in place with the tanks installed. I can easily and securely put both my Aluminum 80 and Steel 100 between the foam tubes and they are very secure. The webbing around the foam tubes has Velcro so you can remove one, or all, of the tubes if necessary or desired. The Velcro area is strong and long so there is no issue with it pulling loose at all. Keep in mind when they say “carry handle” they mean to carry the tank rack itself only and not the actual tanks. All in all for the money and as well as this is made this is a good buy for safely transporting tanks and should last for many years.

I have tried several home made tank protectors but eventually they still rolled around. After using this tank rack in the car I have gotten rid of my home made solutions.

I received this urban house BAID 2-Tank SCUBA Diving Cylinder Tank Rack through the Amazon Vine program. When picking up the tanks from the dive shop and driving home, or to the dive site, the tanks would roll around the trunk. They had to be secured using shoes, clothing, or whatever was available to help keep them from rolling around. With this tank rack, that pretty much eliminated that problem. This is a good quality tank rack. What would make it better, is if there was some adjustability for different size tanks, such as small pony tanks. But overall, this tank rack works very well.

If you're getting ready for a dive trip and have your own oxygen tanks with you, you'll want to keep them from sliding around in your trunk during your drive. That's easier said than done when it comes to heavy metal tanks with a cylindrical shape. They roll all over the place without any kind of divider, and you have to try to stack bags of other gear on top of and around them so they can't bang too hard against anything while in transit. This is expensive equipment we're dealing with, so you want a solution you can trust to keep your beloved (and literally life-sustaining when you're under the surface) tanks in great shape. This tank rack does exactly that. It's super light and easy to carry around and move from trunk to trunk or boat to boat, but the rollers are thick and able to easily keep the tanks from moving around. If you have two tanks, you'll be all set with this rack, which folds into itself when no tanks are racked up, fitting nicely into a diving/duffel bag. 10/10, every diver with their own tanks should get ahold of some of these racks as soon as possible.

Scuba cylinders are always a pain to transport in the trunk of a car or back of a truck or SUV; round things like to roll.I have a three tank soft rack from Trident but it's really just three segments of smooth pool noodle joined with knotted rope. It works but it isn't particularly "sticky"This rack is a step up. The foam pads have ridges and are of a less slippery construction than the pool noodle. They grip the trunk carpet of the car quite well. The flat webbing straps are sturdy and help neatly store the rack when rolled up. Stitching seems good with good box stitches and bar tacking.I tried it with steel 100, aluminum 80, and aluminum 63 cylinders (all 7.25" diameter) and it worked with them. Calibrated eye says that it should work with the chunky 117/133 8.0" diameter cylinders as well.I think this is better rack than the pool noodle rack and is worth the the few extra dollars; it's neater and tidier when not in use.I'll use this in conjunction with the pool noodle rack as second tier to haul up to five secured tanks (ratchet strap over the top of all of them) which should provide a full weekend's worth of single tank diving for one diver.
