I hesitated for so long on this purchase because yes, it's an expensive add-on to an expensive stroller. HOWEVER, on the first ride my 2.5 year old giggled the whole time and I knew it was a great purchase.

I went back and forth for so long on whether or not to invest in this and let me tell you - just do it! Once I got it I wished I never lived without it! We got it for our vacation where we would be waking a lot and it was amazing! People passing us all thought it was so cool, everyone made a comment. It folds away nicely when not being used, I thought I would trip over it or hit it with my feet but that wasn’t a problem. If you are considering it I totally recommend it, you will not regret it. Worth every penny!

My 3.5 yo uses this in parking lots and when it’s raining and we need to get to the car/building quickly after my son was born. It was easy to add to our Cruz and functions as advertised. It’s convenient with two children, the oldest no longer needing a stroller, but when I need her by my side instead of walking independently (good for longer distances, or crowds).

Bought this for our 2014 Cruz. The package includes two clips (to hold the board up in the folded position); one for 2014 models and the other for newer models.Uppababy's high build quality is apparent in their PiggyBack board. All parts seem to be solidly constructed. The wheels ride smooth; no issues going over bumps and cracks in the sidewalk--our toddler doesn't seem to notice! The only part that may not last is the previously mentioned clip. I can see the clip wearing out and breaking with repeated use. However, Uppababy will replace this clip at no cost! The board does add some weight, obviously, since it's constructed mostly out of metal and solid wood. However, it does not add too much extra bulk when folded up, and similarly when folding up the entire stroller with the board attached. One thing to note, however, is that rear access to the stroller's storage basket is reduced when the board is folded up--it extends above the top of the basket by 3-4 inches. One more thing! I'll reiterate what another reviewer said about the stroller flipping over backwards--it's true! The PiggyBack board gives an illusion of extending the stroller's wheelbase, but it does not! Our toddler likes to hold onto the side railings (the ones that connect to the handle) when riding on the board. There was an occasion where she "wheelied" the stroller along with the baby and infant car seat, and almost flipped the whole thing backwards on top of herself. We have to constantly remind her not to put too much weight on the handle bar or the railing of the stroller. So be careful out there!

One of the best accessories you can get for the stroller with a growing child. Been using it all summer. Easy to use; sturdy. Wife initially complained about added weight but after realizing how useful it has been, she hasn’t said anything negative about it. One of the best purchases.

*** CAUTION *** WARNING TO PARENTS *** CAUTION ***This is a great quality product that is easy to setup, easy to use, and easy to fold when storing.I do, however, want to warn parents out there about the possibility of your child ejecting from their seat.I use the Uppababy Cruz with my two children. My newborn sits in the carrier while my older son stands on the Ride-Along board (RAB).My newborn is in a car seat and is facing towards the parent who is pushing the stroller. My older son, while standing on the RAB, likes to hold on the handle bar of the stroller. To be clear, this handle bar is the bar that you use to push the stroller. One day he decided to use the handle bar as a monkey bar and, like a pull-up maneuver, thought it would be fun to swing. This caused a massive weight shift and the entire stroller tipped over. Think of this like a catapult and my newborn was in the catapult's basket. We are extremely fortunate that my newborn was securely fastened to her car seat and was not catapulted out. If she was not fastened, and just sitting inside the car seat, then she would had flown out. She would have hit the ground. My warning to other parents is to always make sure your child is buckled in when you have someone on the RAB. I do see some parents sit their child without buckling because either it's too hot outside or the stroller is intended to be stationary. And locking the wheels does not change the pivot point of the stroller catapult nor would locking the wheels prevented the weight imbalance. I hope this helps someone.

Amazing item! I bought a double stroller for my newborn and three year old thinking it would be ideal. Well it's too heavy and my three year old sat in it half the time. I just purchased this piggyback and it has been wonderful! My son can walk or ride whenever he wants. Folds easily and doesn't add weight or bulk. It glides smoothly with the rest of the stroller and is very secure. I highly recommend this item!

First the pros:-2 year old son loves it.-Sooo smooth. No problems on NYC streets or going on/off curbs.-Quick to release, quick to put back up. Can literally do it while walking with one foot in between strides.-Easy to put on.-Stroller still folds easily with board attached.Cons:-The stroller seat needs to be facing the rear otherwise your child's face will be less than an inch from the back of the seat.-When the kick board is in use the handle bar must be fully extended and even then you need to lean forward slightly and stretch your arms as much as possible. (I'm 5'6"). But it's better than pushing a double stroller!-If your child is the hight of the handle bars any console/organizer will be in the way of their head.-And the worst (the others I can deal with): the little clip that holds the board up while not in use tends to loosen. So on at least 5 occasions when I've locked the stroller just the force of stepping on the brake caused the clip to release and the board slammed down on my shins. I've gotten some serious lumps and bruises. I'm thinking of sticking a bumper to the edge of the board for this reason. If that doesn't work then I can't continue to use it. My shins can't take the abuse.

This board has been great. I've now owned (and heavily used it) for 1.5 years. My daughter has happily ridden on it since she was 3.5 when her little brother was born. We use it walk into town, go to parks and libraries and bring it with us nearly every weekend when we're visiting the zoo, children's museum, etc. I never take it off our stroller, the Cruz. The stroller folds without a problem with the board attached and whole thing goes into the trunk. The stroller still maneuvers well with the board and a 45lb child riding along. There's plenty of room for my daughter to stand within the confines of the handlebars. However, I'm tall and have the handlebar extended all the way out. I think it might make for a tight squeeze though if you prefer to keep the handlebars tucked in.I haven't had any problems with the plastic clip that holds up the board when not in use. It still works well after 1.5 years.

We've used this product in NYC for about five months with our Cruz stroller and are very happy with it. We put our baby in the seat and our two year old likes to ride the piggyback while strolling about the neighborhood.Pros:Assembly was quick and easy.I like how you can fold the stroller with it on and it doesn't get in the way.Maneuverability (forward, back, up and over big bumps in sidewalk) great.Quality construction and materialsDurableEasy for myself and child to open and store piggybackCons:Safety - there's a cut-out in the center part of the board so it can attach to the stroller. This results in the child's feet not being completely on board and therefore making it easier for the child to fall off the board on a bumpy sidewalk. Also, when the board is folded away, I have had trouble engaging the stroller's brake when I need to immediately. I end up opening the board and not locking the break like I intended. While this has not cause any accidents for me personally, I can foresee the board obstructing someone trying to apply the break while dealing with an older child, and the stroller rolling away, a real safety concern in my opinion.
