I received this Oct 1st and today (December 21st) one of them already quit working. Maybe the bulb just burned out but I’m very disappointed that it only lasted less than 3 months.

If you're used to just having a room lit by overhead ceiling lights, switching to indirect soft lighting makes such a huge difference in the mood of a room's lighting. These are designed to sit in corners or along walls, illuminating the wall and ceiling above it in soft indirect light. Specifically these canister type with angled walls are for pitching light from beneath a plant, lighting the plant and casting the shadow onto the wall. Nice thing about these is that they're remote control so you don't need to bend down and activate a switch manually, which is what I've been doing for years, and I noticed the control of the unit is a big factor whether you use the lighting or not. If you have to go through trouble to turn it on and off you won't use it. But with the remote, you just put it on your wall or nightstand and turn on your room's lighting conveniently. It makes a huge difference in theater lighting for the family room, or mood lighting in the bedroom. I use these all over the house and I've been happy with them.
