These are the best safety eyes I've used. They pop on easily, and don't pop off. The cup end goes towards the project, push until you hear it pop. Do not melt ends, no need to, but that weakens the stem of the eye.

I got these because I crochet mini animals all the time and need size 6mm safety eyes. These ones are the same size as all the other 6mm eyes I’ve gotten which I know I read in a previous comment was not the case for them for some reason. I think they work fine but they are a lot more difficult to put together than other safety eyes I have gotten. I do really like the fact they come in a case so that I can have them organized and not worry about losing any. Overall they were really worth the price for how many I need.

i’ve used these things dozens of times. i make plushies with chenille yarn and they have never let me down. it comes in a thin and long container, unlike the multi packs which took some getting used to; but i have nothing negative to say. highly recommend, they’re great for the price!!
