I had some trepidation buying this product because of a negative review that it cools poorly. Now having tried it out, these fears are completely unwarranted. I've been running a 10-core Xeon processor for hours at 65+ load average, doing a heavy CPU stress test, including virtualization and heavy memory IO and it's been rock solid at 30-40C and that's excellent.(Did he not remove the plastic guard before putting it in?)This does a great job, but it is MASSIVE. It seems almost too big for my big box server and it's a HUGE case. It dwarfs the motherboard, and I had to remove the power supply in order to plug in all the cables because it was so big and in the way. However, it does leave plenty of room for the RAM sticks, and the fan appears to be a decent quality one that will last a while. Because the fan is so big, it's quiet.

The cooler itself is good, has good cooling and my i7 doesn't ever throttle on heavy loads, and isn't noisy at everyday CPU load. Although, it is a little too big for my case, which makes my case a bit hard to close. However, the manual explains almost nothing, and in the middle of my confusion with the manual, I damaged a piece of my motherboard and case, thankfully the damage is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect the functionality of the PC.Never leave everything to the manual.

Bought this to go with my AliExpress x99 motherboard and xeon cpu. This keeps the 10 core 20 thread CPU nice and cool. Even under a full synthetic benchmark load. No issues at all.

Id love to show you a pic, but the only one I got was of kryonaut blasting off from between the sink and cpu... Seen fifth element? remember the opera scene? Like that.Im 30 degrees c cooler thanI ever was before, and it never gets over 44c. Musta had some gremlins in there somewhere, even after I replaced the stock cooler with a different stock cooler. Coulda been the back plate, coulda been hell spawning inside the PC, IDK, Im not a techie nor a priest. Thanks Obama.

I have an Intel Core i7-930 Bloomfield from a computer I built in 2010. Unlike the inaccurate claims of other coolers listed here, this CPU cooler was designed for and did fit the old LGA 1366 fan mounts. It came with a long philips screwdriver (that I didn't need though) and thermal paste, but I used Noctua NT-H2 thermal paste instead. I didn't realize until recently that the stock Intel CPU cooler did a poor job of cooling my CPU. According to HWiNFO64, my CPU would EASILY jump up to 180+F when loaded down with heavy video encoding. Now, with this seemingly "no-name" brand "upHere" CPU cooler, the maximum core temperature does not exceed 144F with the same heavy video encoding. The max core temperature is about 106F at idle. I think that's a stellar difference! This upHere CPU cooler also cleared all the other capacitors, RAM, and I/O heat sinks on my Gigabyte X58A-UD3R motherboard. It seems very well built and the fan is very quiet too running at about 1680 RPM max (~1440 RPM idle). My case fans are louder. The only thing remotely negative that I have say is that I did have to unmount my motherboard from my computer case (all but 1 screw) to have room to place the CPU cooler mount behind the motherboard, but that wasn't hard and more a factor of the cutout in my computer case.I am very happy with this Cooler!

GREAT Product, QUALITY built. Will purchase this product again as required for cpu cooling.Only drawback, (My observation), because of the design where the riser portion of the heat sync is upwards and to the left, this restricted my installation of DDR4 Ram with heat shield in the design. my motherboard has two sticks of DDR4 Ram on each side of the cpu. the ones to the right are not a problem for this cooler, however the ones to the left cannot be inserted because the height of DDR4 ram with built in heat shield protrudes into the space that the cooler rises into on the left side of the cpu.

Easy to install on lga 2066 processor, quiet operation and very good cooling performance. Fairly tall but will fit most cases. A very good value for the price.

This replaced the stock cooler on my I7 4790k when the mounting bracket failed. It was very hard to install on a MSI Gaming series G Motherboard due to the height of the heat sinks on the CPU power ICs, had to remove them then reinstall afterward. The force required to clip it to the mounting ring was worrying as well. On the other hand, 2 fans a (static blue) LED, included HS paste, shroud, quiet operation and considerably cooler temps than I had on the stock cooler make it a great deal.

The heatsink is fine, looks nice, works fine yada yada, but HOLY CRAP IT IS SO BIG, it is a PIG to fit into any PC unless you have a completely barren motherboard, at almost any angle it would hit the motherboard shrouds or my gpu, this thing was a MAJOR PAIN to get installed

This cooler is absolute junk for cooling, but it looks great! The installation instructions are 1/4 of a piece of paper, printed in broken English on both sides. Good luck! For $5 more you can get a Hyper 212 (which has a much larger heat sink, easier to install, clear instructions and actually cools your CPU better than a stock cooler.) If you have a 3 or 5 series Intel or AMD CPU and want to replace the stock cooler with something that looks nicer, this is it. Or, if you desire a tiny heat sink covered in plastic, fans and LEDs, this is for you!I really wanted to like this, but my 9900k nearly over heated within 2 minutes of 100% CPU usage testing. This cooler looks nice and is priced nice. But you get what you pay for. Pay the extra $5 for an 'ugly' cooler and have your Ryzen 7, Ryzen 9 or Intel i7 or i9 CPU run nice and cool and quiet!!! For a little more money, you can also get other coolers with pretty lights. If you don't care about noise or cooling, and you can translate broken English, this is the cooler for you! Also, be aware you can also buy hubcaps for your lawn mower while you are shopping here at Amazon! Because, hubcaps on a lawn mower make it better, right? In the pictures below you can see a picture of what is hidden under the plastic. I dismantled the entire unit to share with you what you are actually buying. There are pictures of the instructions so yo can see just how inadequate they are, and I've included a picture of the tiny heatsink compared to a standard air cooler heatsink used by Cooler Master Hyper 212. Make an informed decision. Here are the EXACTLY spelled and worded directions included with the unit:Step 1: Install the bracket on the motherboard insert four bolt1) Fixed bolt insert stents2) The stents installed on the motherboard3) Last insert fixed pin of the motherboardStep 2: The thermal conductive paste evenly on the CPUStep 3: Install the radiator on the motherboard1) First radiator short hook Button in the stand2) One hand will flatten the radiator3) At the same time, another hand will be another button pressing down4) Hook stents On the other side of the hook5) Or so mobile,Check whether the radiator is installed firmly
