I'm a DIY kind of guy so when the hose on the vacuum started to break near the handle, I thought I could take it apart, cut is just a little shorter and put it back together. Not with this crazy vaccuum. I love the different parts, but man are they difficult to work with. You need to have special screw heads to even try (which I do) but then the parts don't come apart as easily as you would think they should. Ultimately, I decided a replacement was the only way to go. This particular product is almost an exact match for replacing the original. There are two minor differences that I found, neither of which make any difference to me. First, there is a black strip of plastic on the top of the handle. On the original, this had more of a softer matte texture feel to is whereas the replacement is just smooth and glossy. No biggie there. The second is where the hose connects near the base. On the original, there is an angled interior connection port. On the replacement I received, the angle was on the other side. Blast! I thought I was out of luck but then I realized the replacement one could swivel to be angled in the correct way. The original can't do that. So in a way, this one is actually maybe a little better? I don't know, but it works and now we have full, uncut suction again. Happy day for all!

My old hose has a couple holes and it limited the vacuum suction badly. This one is a bit shorter than my old hose but it fits the vacuum and does the job.

I made sure to match the exact model number with the vacuum and hose. My hose had begun to tear so I taped it while I ordered and waited to receive this new hose. Unfortunately after properly connecting the new hose to my current vacuum I noticed it wasn’t picking up as well so I tested the old taped hose with the new one and noticed it wasn’t airtight and my old taped one had better suction. So I returned this hose. It was hard to find a hose because my vacuum is older and refurbished so I am bummed it didn’t have better suction after checking out the connection. Otherwise it was good quality. I will eventually have to just buy a new vacuum.

Five stars because so far it works and does what it's supposed to do. Fits my UV 650.Will continue to give an update over the next month seeing as though I vacuum everyday.Should anything arise each incident will take one star away.What I have noticed is that that middle piece that insurance into the back of the vacuum to hold the hose study does not exist on the replacement. Now I know what it's for, it's to keep it stable so that the tubing of the hose does not swing around and come out of the handle / tear.We will see as I use this regularly on a daily basis should something arise I will post it here.Over all it vacuumed nice today.
