After putting the U-bolt on our trailer and tightening them up, we had to make an adjustment when backing the nuts off to loosen them up. They immediately started stripping. I was shocked at the poor quality of metal for something that would hold an axle to a leaf spring, do not buy these leaf spring bolts.

Dont follow the bolt torque specs in the package. I did and stretched a set of these. Had to go to local hardware store to replace them.
