This is exactly what you need for shooting through glass - like in an aquarium or museum. It does the job, 100%, folds up small, and is very sturdy.

I tried to replace my rigid plastic lens hood with this silicone one, but I was not satisfied.I had difficulty getting it onto my lens and once I did I had a hard time not knocking the lens into the glass window I was practicing shooting through.I love the idea, but from what I experienced the application of the idea could use some work.It would be nice if it were easier to install, but for me the deal breaker is that when I want to "stow" the silicone hood away it prevents my camera's built in distance meter thingy from sending out the orange light that helps it know how far it is from its intended target. All in all this would be great for photographing through glass, but I think you want to be very familiar with your settings and manual focus for the time being.I will keep mine around for the times when it will be THE PERFECT tool for what I want to do, but I don't feel any trepidation about that or obligation to try to force it to be the right tool for the job.I might not even use it once a year, but on those times when that's exactly what I'm looking for.Good times.

Item was shipped promptly and seems of great quality. I purchased the larger one and fits my Tamron 28-200mm lens. The lens itself has a 67mm diameter inner ring, but considering the outer layer where it goes, it fits without any effort and does a great job at cutting glare. It comes with an adjustable strap in case you need it, but I found that the rubber material grips on my lens like a glove. Hope it lasts a few flights.

My lens zooms by extension, the wide angle zooms out; thus, the lens hit the glass all the time because the shade is too shallow. It would work fine with a prime lens or a lens that does not zoom in and out.

I find it very cheap.. could be a lot better.. Quality isn’t there.. fit isn’t great, more of pain to put on and take off

My first impression was that this is a well made product - thick enough to be durable but still flexible. Tried it and it worked beautifully - adhered well to window glass but still kept the lens from contacting the window, totally blocked reflections. Very satisfied. The only slight drawback is, once it has been expanded, getting it to collapse and stay collapsed can be challenging. Still, it is flexible enough to go into the bag and stay put, even if not totally flat.

I have been able to eliminate most window reflections when taking photos from a moving train or bus. It can actually lightly adhere to the glass, and is very flexible and stays on securely. I had it on my camera for 2 straight weeks on a trip, and it worked better than I hoped.

A bit surprised I didn't already have one of these, oh well, I do now. Works exactly as described. Is it a tiny bit flimsy, I guess, but that's what makes it very portable, light weight. Will it stand the test of time, I don't see why not. I've tried it out, happy with the photo results. I would buy this exact one again, without hesitation, if need be.
