I was in need of a circuit tester predominately for automotive use. This Winanoo Digital Automotive Tester is quite inexpensive. But it looked like it would do everything I needed. So, I decided to give it a try. I must say that I am quite impressed with quality of construction, features and operation.I have owned a number of different testers over the years. Unless buying a high-end name brand tester, normally you get a red and green LED, maybe a beep tone when an active circuit is tested and one which is enclosed in a hard plastic case, which may be prone to easy breakage. This unit is every bit as nice as the name brand unit, but at literally a fraction of the cost. It is larger and more robust than it looks in the photos and is constructed of a solid molded plastic. It has literally every feature you could want in such a tester. It handles a wide voltage range, up to 72 Volts, plus or minus. So, it can be used with higher voltage systems like 48V solar, eBikes, etc. As a note, it is only a DC unit. It cannot be used with AC house current. It has a very sharp stainless-steel probe which is thicker and of stronger construction than may be imagined. So, it should be very resistant to damage when pushing the tip of the probe through the insulation of a wire to perform an in-line test. That sometimes takes a bit of force. The shaft of the probe is also covered in an insulating sheath to prevent inadvertent short circuits. It includes a nice durable rubber tip cover tethered to the ground line of the probe to protect you and your bag from damage by the sharp tip.The unit has a nice, bright digital display showing the level voltage being tested, indicating + or -. It has a red light, which illuminates when a positive voltage is present and a green light when negative voltage is detected. Additionally, it has an audible beep which beeps repeatedly once on positive and twice, in rapid succession, on negative. That's nice, as you do not need to see the unit to know if voltage is detected. The ground cord, terminated with a very nice clamp with a claw tip, is coiled and of a very generous 142" length. It will easily reach from here to there in most cars. The instructions are concise but complete.I would rate this as an exceptional deal. It works perfectly and has every feature I need in doing automotive wiring troubleshooting. The only improvement I could suggest would be adding a nylon case, as cords, especially coiled ones, tend to get all tangled up in your tools and bag, which can adversely affect the longevity. But that would likely add cost, and no everyone would need it. I will keep it in it's box, which is very solid and not much larger than the unit.This tester is deserving of five very solid stars.
