This item is well made. I was very happy with the quality. Very easy to install, just drop it in. Can hold water in the sink very well. The only issue I have is that this unit doesn't sit flush with the sink hole. Because of this some water does not drain fully from the sink. Would I purchase it again?, probably. It does a very good job and seems to be a quality build.

This kitchen strainer works really well and looks & feels well built. It's easy to use and easy to install, you just plop it in your sink and it works like a charm when you use the stopper to drain or plug your sink. I was a bit nervous on the sizing but the strainer does indeed fit 2.9-3.5 inches. Perhaps I measured my kitchen drain wrong but the exact whole length from side-to-side is 3 inches so I wasn't sure if strainers labeled as 3.5 inches would work, perhaps the rim around the drain is included but I had no issue with fit here. I'm hoping this lasts for several years!

This probably was the best purchase I’ve made, it’s very functional, easy to use and to put over the drain. This also enhances the look of the sink! 10/10 you should buy it!

I bought this to upgrade the typical metal drain stopper/strainers with plastic knobs and rubber stopper. The plastic in those goes bad too quickly. These units are all stainless steel with silicone gaskets. They have worked well for me. You just need to be aware that the stick up slightly since they are inserts, so water will puddle slightly at the drain. They also need periodic cleaning. I use a diluted chlorine bleach mixture and let things soak. Stainless and silicone can tolerate chlorine. The strainer part is easily removed and cleaned. They are super easy to open and close. I am overall happy with my purchase.

I was excited to get these. They work as described and for right over the holes. I like that they catch everything and prevent clogs. It is an amazing concept with just a touch of a button. Very durable and very easy to remove.

I measured my sink before ordering this strainer plug and it fit perfectly when I got it. It drains a little slow because the holes are smaller than the one big gaping hole that was there for the garbage disposal, but we don't mind because it prevents so many food particles from going down the drain. We have compost bin for our garden and a small compost bucket next to the sink, so its nice to be able to put even those small scraps into the bucket which aids in our garden! It also keeps the garbage disposal clear and we don't have to run it nearly as often. The double feature of it being a drain stopper is so great, and works really well, not leaking any water out even overnight. We no longer have to use those plastic stoppers that get all gross and degraded over time. The materials used in this particular drain stopper are great and the strainer basket is metal, instead of plastic. I recommend this product!

Fits a standard sink drain nicely. The plug mechanism works nicely. The main problem is that the silicone rings/wide washers are not far enough apart, it seems to me - because apparent (air bubbles?) seem to get trapped and the water drainage is often very slow. Lifting the edge of the topmost strainer "cap" for a sec seems to "break" the "plug" and water then flows /drains much faster. However, one has to do that repeatedly or at least almost each time one uses the sink with a medium to fast water flow from the tap. It's irritating and annoying.ETA: On further testing the seal around the lower silicone ring isn't that tight against the walls of the sink drain hole (mine, anyway) so water does leak slowly with the plug mechanism engaged and the water filling the sink drains slowly but noticeably while the plug is supposedly engaged. ADDITIONALLY, the knob of the strainer-cum-mechanism for the plug sticks above the level of the whole thing and therefore above the level of the sink itself. Anything in the sink that extends over the plug top (e.g. like a frying pan or any larger diameter utensil or bowk or plate) when in the sink presses onto the plug top/does not lay flat in the sink --- and this is inconvenient, and may also engage the plug if trying to scrub the pan/plate/etc when pressing down with a sponge/scrubber/whatever. It is also hard to get rid of detritus trapped by te sieve - stuff seems to cling to it.
