Wow, what wonderful tools. I built a workshop in my backyard several years ago and I'm getting ready to add another section. It's covered with lap siding and I took great pains to do an accurate job, and with no seams. Only a few weeks before building my workshop, I'd seen a similar-sized shop and the siding had a dip in the middle. Haha. Pretty easy to figure out how that happened, and good for a laugh! Oh man, I would've had to fix that even if I had to buy all new siding. Anybody that's ever done siding will know and fully appreciate the value of these tools. A must-have product when installing siding!!!

This tool is of surprising quality. It appears that the adjustable guides are made of cast aluminum and built to withstand the rigorous labors of a construction site.Clean demarcations offer metric and English measures (although actual units are not shown). Note that the markings are printed on the tool surface and may be vulnerable to wear. A future improvement would be to provide some insets or indentations to protect the scale markings.The product information sheet provides super precise specifications to multiple decimal places.One critical piece of information may be missing and that is the thickness of siding that the tool can accommodate. That seems to be an important fact that I may have missed somewhere. I unspun the flipper, and the clamp appears to handle a thickness of about a half-inch max. The flipper handle then snugs the clamp onto your piece of siding kind of like a vise grip.

Be careful when opening the box. The screw that hold pieces together are loose and check to make sure all the parts are there. One of the nylon part that goes on the thickness adjustment is missing
