2001 F-150 - Only giving low stars b/c the description wrongly says it will work with older ignitions. The remote works easily paired using instructions from the vehicle manual but the chip is incompatible with older PATS style Ford transponder keys. I have no knowledge if the chip is compatible with other makes from the early 2000's. The chip is hot glued to the circuit board so I removed it and replaced it with a PATS chip from an old spare key I had. I love how little room the flip key takes up in my pocket and would definitely recommend if you have and are capable of swapping the chip.

I was able to program this on my 2010 Ford F-150 xlt. You MUST have two (2) ORIGINAL Ford keys and fobs to program this on your truck. If you don't, you will need to go to the dealership or a locksmith for programming. Took me less than 5 minutes to program key and fob.

This thing does not work with a 2010 F150. I had the key cut and the 5 linked to the truck but I could not get the key programmed to start the vehicle. I took it to a Ford dealership, no luck.

I was really happy to be able to update my key since I’m unwilling to update my car I will say the fob works great and once cut and programmed the key does as well only thing is the trunk release button is a lil sticky but that could very possibly from me being rough with my keys

Now I know the manufacture of this key fob says it’s not supposed to work. But it does like a champ. I can verify it works perfectly fine for the Ford 2006 F250 6.0 Diesel. People may say it won’t program. Not true. Everyone forgets to 1st keep the door open and hit the unlock button on the drivers door then close. Then you cycle the ignition 8 times in ten seconds (between off and run) landing on run. The truck will acknowledge your programming the fobs by cycling the door locks. Then hit lock on each fob you want to marry to the truck. Turn the key to off and done. Now when I went to test if they would “marry” I used the factory key. As you can see you will need to trim the ignition cover in order for the new keys to work. (See picture.) Absolutely worth the money to consolidate the the fob into the key. However on a side note. F250s don’t have a trunk so don’t expect that button to do anything! Common sense people. But they do work.

Tried this key on my 2005 Mustang. The FOB programmed easily on the first try. The key flips very well, and remote seems pretty solid. The transponder for the key will NOT program to my mustang. I’ve programmed spares for this car before, easily, but this one just won’t work at all.I can’t see anywhere in the listing to contact the seller for help…

This worked great on my 1999 F150. (No PATS, or PATS turned off)It programmed with the door closed, then door open , insert key, (as fast as you can) turn key on and off 8 times stoppping on 8th time with key on. Door locks cycle/ in programming mode. 9 seconds to hit door lock on #1 remote. Locks will unlock. 9 seconds for 2nd remote. do up to 5 times. then key off. Doors will cycle locks telling you it is out of programming mode. Try all remotes. My new key and 2 old remotes worked fine. THEN have new key cut only after programming......otherwise you can not return it if programming fails. My freq was 315 Mhz. for 1999.

The photo looks much nicer than the product in hand. It feels cheap and the key does not flick out very well. More like a slow-mo flick and only partially if you're holding it a certain way. More important though - this key will *not* fit into the slot of a 2002 Ford F150 and I suspect many other Fords that have the deep key slot that's used to help you turn the key on. While the key on the fob is longer than a normal key, it will not fit into the slot. On top of that you pretty much have to disassemble the key to get it to fit into a hardware store's key making machine. Cheaply made, wouldn't fit, poorly designed. I'm assuming the buttons worked, but didn't even try to program them since the key wouldn't fit.
