They won't cut turkey skin. I've had them 2 years. I've used them 4 times. I purchased them specifically to butter fly turkeys/chickens prior to smoking. They are kept clean/dry and in their handy little case. They are not rusty, dinged, or damaged in any way.Don't buy them.P.S. They have a nice lock to keep them closed when not in use. This protects the edges from damage. Mine fell off in the turkey yesterday. Luckily i saw it before someone broke a tooth or swallowed it

purpose is to cut the backbone out of poultry, for that it works finewhat it does not do is cut the skin....I used the diamond stones to sharpennbut was only marginaly betterplease don't mis-understand. it does what I want, it just is not as sharp as I wantso far I have not gotten it as sharp as I want, that does not make it bad, just not up to my standardplease understand, I have demanding standards. just be cause this doest'nt mean it isn't good

These are perfect if you want to splatchcock a turkey. These strong shears cut easily through bone. The stainless steel handles are far superior to all the other poultry shears I've tried.

It looks really cool. Easily found on Amazon had to choose one this one just looked so cool. It is it come with its own sleeve to keep it in. This baby cut good to. I can a whole chicken up in like 6. Mins. Why did it take me so long to get these? I don't know. My husband even thinks they are easy to use. They are comfortable in your hand, I like that. I really like the size and color of them. I like my choice.

Bought this for doing smoked chicken wings, and another one for my good neighbor's son-in-law who is always cooking things and let me borrow his seasoning AND clippers he had for gardening pruning. Hopefully he'll like the real thing. Good ergonomics, easy to clean, not as sharp as they could be but adequate, and the sleave is synthetic. I like leather. I bought a German used older variety to test out against it. Garage sale item, in OEM wrapper with price tag. Chinese stuff is marginal, always.

These came well wrapped, and in a sheath. They fit into the hand very well, and have a good balance.They close with a clip that iis a bit fiddly, but not a problem.The shears are sharp enough to cut paper with ease, so not a bad buy at all.

To be honest, I just wanted something a bit different that still functioned well. This set served those well. I won't dwell on the unique look but focus in its useability.The shears have a good heft to it. I like this because it translates to a decent joint that wont deform or wear too easily giving up good repeated cuts.The inner 'hawk bill' shape to help cut through chicken bone works as good as any other similarly styled shear.Spring assisted opening is great!. Its not too hard to overcome and is perfect to keep these open handles shears well enough in your hands. The handle shape helps fit in your palm and fingers well.Cleaning shears is always a worry just because of water being left in the joints. Removing the locknut each time for that is not very convenient. There are also more nooks and crannies to wash ad compared to simple shears. After a few months I will revisit this review to assess any rusting (with reasonable care and drying of course) without separating the shears to do so.I like the easy separating shears but when you open those too wide, they wind up separating in your hands. Hence I opted for this type.If you like the look of these shears and need something for the kitchen, these work just fine for food. It cuts paper well but absolutely not for that purpose, just a testament on their out-of-box tolerances.
