Don't let the plastic fool you. This knife is sharp. I've used it on all types of lettuce, spinach, boiled eggs, celery. Works great! Not so good on tomatoes, though, lol.

The blade is easy to clean and works pretty well although the hand isnt the sturdiest there is a cap that closes the hollow handle that fell off

Sturdy, and prevents lettuce from browning quickly. I can make my salads a few days in advance without the worry of the greens turning brown.

I was looking for a plastic lettuce knife for myself & my niece. This is a quality knife and does an excellent job cutting salad. I purchased it to use with the Salad Cutter Bowl, which I love equally as much. I wash my knife on the top shelf of my dishwasher and it comes out fine. My knife arrived in the time it was promised & was very well packaged. I would purchase from this seller again. This knife is also very reasonably priced.
