Thin and flimsy feeling, yet overall is a nice simple design to holding a training weapon to one's side (not suitable for real blades). Very big opening to slide through, but that's kind of the negative, as swords don't fit securely in the pouch, with or without a sheath. Some wide blades also won't fit, widest you can go is double edged medieval (as seen in one of my many pics). Also, the item's picture shows the black pouch (which I got) has white/reflective seams, but it doesn't have either--they're full black. Sad, but oh well... Function and form over style is what I got this for. Should you feel the need to, it can be used for right side holstering (left paw usage), so it's ambidextrous fitment. Again, best used for training weapons than real ones, so good deal on that end.

Don’t think it should be marketed towards real swords, this would be fine for props or costume swords.Note I just got this thing and a little flex reveals the cardboard within causing winkles.I get it this thing is cheap however it’s definitely gonna be in my return list, need to find a better sword holster and I don’t think I’ll be buying from Amazon.

Nice quality and it seemed durable. It easily attached to my corset and my parasol with the samurai sword handle fit well.
