Doesn't fit size advertised. Had to cut it with scissors to make it fit, and now it looks like crap.

Very good texture and almost transparent. Can see the keys underneath really well. I also stuck stickers of a different language's keyboard layout on it as shown in the photo. So, it's quite useful that way too.

I just regret not buying this keyboard protector earlier. What a great idea to keep the keyboard free of dust and dirt and at the same time extend the life of your laptop. I am thrilled!

was confused with specific sizes,prices and style of keyboards,didnt want to spend a lot so i took a chance and ordered two of these,using both they cover ALL SURFACE of my laptop,all keyboard area and touchpad extending end to end,top to bottom to areas where fingers and hand rest and sometime leave smudges,keyboard reacts well with these thin covers

It's a flat piece of silicone that lays over your laptop keyboard to protect it from minor spills. I wouldn't expect it to save my computer in case of a 16oz fluid spill, but a minor couple of ounces should be okay. Fortunately, I haven't had occasion to test that hypothesis. In the meantime, it keeps the area between the keys clean and gunk-free. When the protector gets yucky, a quick wash with soap and water makes it new again. It's a small, but good investment in the life of your computer.

Wohl den Kundenrezensionen geschuldet, bei denen Käufer nicht kapiert haben, dass sie die Folie nur auseinander ziehen müssen.Als Staubschutz ist die Folie wunderbar. Flüssigkeiten werden wohl einzelne Wassertropfen und Co auch kein Problem machen. Nur wer ein Glas Wasser über sein Notebook schüttet, wird feststellen, dass sich keinen 100 % Schutz davor liefert. So gut kann keine Silikonfolie auf dem Notebook festkleben. Die Klebeleistung ist ausreichend, um die Folie je nach Gebrauch 3 bis 6 Monate an seinen Platz zu halten. Spätestens nach 6 Monaten sollte man die Folie bei Normalgebrauch auswechseln, da danach auch bei guter Pflege der Folie (zwischendurch ist Reinigung der Folie Pflicht) die Klebeleistung nicht mehr vorhanden ist. Alles in allem ein gutes Produkt bezüglich Preis/Leistung. Wer einen 100 % Schutz gegen Einwirkungen erwartet, wird aber enttäuscht werden. Die Folie dient eher Staub abzuhalten und Abnützungserscheinungen zu mindern. Beim Tippen ist die Folie unproblematisch und bei Verwendung einer beleuchteten Tastatur ist alles gut ersichtlich im Dunkeln.

A great product that's easy to use, washable if needed, feels nice and does the job!I've bought this product twice now and have found it's perfect for my usage. Having previously owned a gaming keyboard and gaming laptop, I didn't want my new keyboard to have all the keys rubbing off. I tried multiple keyboard covers for my laptop (MSI PE70, 17 inches) but nothing worked until this product.The keyboard skin fits well over the keyboard with one layer that's sticker to help it stick onto the keyboard. The other side is a silky, matte, plastic feeling which is surprisingly pleasant. I haven't noticed any increase in difficulty typing. Over time I found the stickiness reduced but you can just wash it under a tap and leave to airdry and then the stickiness is restored.The product lasted approximately 2 years before it started getting some tears due to a lot of usage. The keyboard itself is completely pristine with no rubbing or residue between the keys!

The product description is somewhat off - read on.This silicone skin rests on top of the keyboard, (not self-adhesive), with only 1/8 of an inch sticking out over the edge of the keyboard on either side, key to key and 7/16 of an inch top to bottom.So top to bottom it's OK, but side to side, it sucks.I had to tape down each corner with "scotch" tape to secure the skin.That being said, it does it's job , but man, does the silicone ever attract dust ! Still trying to figure out how to remove the dust without dislodging the whole thing.I've surfed and surfed Amazon, and just can't find a larger skin.

I purchased this for my desktop keyboard, out of anger and frustration.My sweet 17-year-old kitty, who has slept on my work station longer than I can remember, decided to refund her tuna dinner - on my keyboard. This not-so-sweet gift was left for me to discover on a day when I had a load of work to get done. Adding 2 hours of keyboard cleanup was not on the agenda. The silver lining - I now had the cleanest keyboard on the planet. I had to take all of the keys off and clean every port with bleach and lysol.Two days later, I awoke to a keyboard that was no longer clean. This time I did not have the luxury of time to thoroughly clean it. Eight hours of keys sticking, and pushing up scents of half-digested tuna lead me into a fit of frustration that brought me to this product.I have been using this for a little over a week, and naturally my kitty has not refunded one meal since it arrived. It has been very helpful in protecting my new keyboard (the old one did not survive two rounds of bleach and lysol).The product design is very simple. It is a rectangular piece that measures approximately 14.25 x 5 inches. The silicone material has a natural non-slip texture, allowing it to lay in place without sliding around. Even on my desktop keyboard, which is elevated in the back, it holds in place easily.Aside from the barf-protection, it has been great in reducing the collection of dust and pet hair.

I really like this item very much, and am about to order several more in bulk. This works very well for my 16.5" laptop, as there's about a 1/4" "extra" on each side, and about a full inch up and down, so there's a good bit of room for adhesion. The material is very thin, and allows for typing as if it wasn't there. It isn't perfectly clear, but is translucent, with a high degree of readability of the keys when necessary. At the same time I also purchased a white skin which is molded to the keys (hoping to improve the visibility), and while it looks as though it would nicely settle between the keys, it's heavier, and so is weighed down and slides off when I have the laptop at an angle.Meanwhile, this skin stays flat and in place, at pretty much any angle, and when the laptop is closed and reopened, even though my screen is glossy. After a while the "tacky" property does wear off (especially if you take off the skin and it comes into contact with potentially dusty or linty objects), but simply wiping the "down" side with a moist cloth/paper towel returns it to like-new tackiness.For those having issues with the skin not sticking to the keyboard, or sticking to the screen, there are two different sides, and it does matter which side faces up. One side is shiny, the other matte. The shiny side goes down, and adheres well to the keys (even though my keys are matte) and especially to any flat areas around the outside of the keyboard. The matte surface is to be typed on, it also doesn't adhere to the screen, and doesn't attract nearly as much dust and fuzz as the shiny side would. If the skin continues to slide for you, a small piece of a double-sided adhesive such as at the top or corners will definitely keep it in place until you choose to move it.What is additionally great about these sheets of silicone, is that they can be used as shelf liners, and also to keep items from sliding around wherever that's a problem. Especially since these are colorless, and very thin, they do the job exceptionally well, without being a nuisance and an eyesore, as I've found the nubby grid-like rolls of material designed for this purpose to be.I found a seller here who sells 10 of these at a time, and I'm eagerly planning to order them after the holidays and streamline many storage areas with these great sheets that will hold most anything in place. If anyone is interested, they're $9.99 for the 10 pieces, with one charge of $.99 for shipping -- great deal!My one complaint, which isn't much at all, is that the sheet comes folded in its package, about three inches from one edge. This is not the fault of the seller, it's how they're packaged by the manufacturer. The sheet does lie nearly perfectly flat, but there is still a slight crease visible. Perhaps this will disappear entirely after more time, or not, but this in no way affects the functionality, it's just my OCD nature shining through. :O)
